Advantages: Some decent rhythm and blues Disadvantages: Film dialogue in the wrong places
...for such a classic track.
The big names of 1960s soul music keep coming, with Eddie Floyd and Wilson Pickett performing "634-5789", which was originally a hit for Wilson Pickett, but was written by Eddie Floyd. I think they missed a trick by not including the dialogue over the intro that is in the film, but this minor concern apart, this is a great upbeat and mid-tempo soul number. It doesn't quite have the edge of some of Pickett's other song, seeming a bit smoother than "In the Midnight Hour" for example, but it's got a couple of great soul voices on it and it's a great tune and would probably be my favourite on the album, if it wasn't for the next track.
From the first time I heard it, Blues Traveler's "Maybe I'm Wrong" has become one of my favourite songs ever, not just in the film and I've bought several of their albums since. Indeed...

...This is truly one of the best albums I own!
I am only 21 and have listened to JackieWilson since I was about 5. This man is a legend, and this album features his greatest tracks such as 'Reet Petite,' 'Higher and higher,' 'Sweetest Feeling,' 'Baby workout,' and 'Doggin around.'
The great thing about Jackiewilson is that he always has the right song for any occasion, and the lyrics always seem to fit with how i am feeling!
I feel Privaliged to know about this artist, as when i mention to people that he is my ultimate favourite singer they always say 'Whos she?'
So since I have owned this album, I have tried my hardest to introduce it to my friends and get them hooked!
It is the perfect album if you want to relax and feel happy, or generally if you just fancy a good sing along!!!!!
BUY IT NOW!!!!!!!!...

Advantages: Blues music, what more can be said? Many great legends of blues and soul. Disadvantages: Not enough songs

THE SONGS
11 tracks are included on this album; all are from the original movie, although some are slightly edited so that they are suitable for a soundtrack album. This editing is barely noticeable though.
1 – She Caught The Katy – As always, this is a great intro to the album. It’s the first song you’ll hear on the film and is very much in the style of blues. A continuous guitar rhythm is followed by an equally continuous drum beat. Brass instruments, such as trumpets are occasionally heard but the real joy is the harmonica. Jake Blues (John Belushi) sings the, typically blues, lyrics well. – 8/10
2 – Peter Gunn Theme – This instrumental follows a same beat as the previous track, as well as style. A continuous...
