Album Notes: This companion compilation explores some of the rarer tracks from the 1950s soul crooners and hitmakers the Platters, highlighted by "My Secret" and "I'll Never Smile Again."
Advantages: Good general review of The Smiths' high points Disadvantages: Misses some of the even higher ones.
...the more guitar lead sound of 'I started something I couldn't finish, which is sadly lacking from both Best albums. The general content of Best2 is very good with the two earlier mentioned anthems being backed up by the Schoolboy traumas of 'The Headmaster Ritual' and the melodic if controversial 'Reel Around the Fountain'. The inclusion of the dissapointing 'Shakespeares Sister' is largely down to the fact that it did not appear on any pervious album, but was a single only release. Other inclusions that could be debated not because of the lack of quality in the actual song, but because of the higher quality of songs not on the album are 'Nowhere Fast'and 'That Joke isn't Funny any more'. Overall, I would reccommend the album to a dedicated Smiths fan who would like to own all releases, but for the novice I would recommend the more...

Advantages: Best bits from different albums Disadvantages: Not sure there were any
...Well what can I say, totally amazing. Loved them all. I love compilation cd's I think you get all the best bits from all the best albums without having to have all the albums and listen to all the tracks you don't like. Did that make any sense??
I particularly like the cover design I think it really got across the image of 'power'.
Sound quality was really good, hubby is really into his hi fi and has a mish mash of what he considers to be all the better units from different manufactorers. He won't listen to anything that he doesn't consider to sound like 'you're at the concert'. Well this one certainly did the trick.
Go for it! Great gift for fathers day too!...

Advantages: Better selection of bands Disadvantages: Still a few oddities
...Punkvoter.com, remove President Bush from power, without that anarchy this scene was originally founded on, and, by doing so, better the world’s perception of the American people (still best indicated by 'What Is Wrong With The Americans' off German punk band Terrorgruppe’s '1 World 0 Future'album).
A noticeable inclusion is No Doubt’s 'Comforting Lie', one of the better tracks on the band’s third album 'Return of Saturn' and a good break from the punk within 'Rock Against Bush Vol.2 'and more notably the hardcore of Sick Of It All that it immediately follows. Multi-platinum selling Green Day also make an appearance with 'Favorite Son', a seemingly new track that lacks none of the band’s joie de vivre and sways little from the sound that we have come to recognise from them of late.
Along with the brilliant Lawrence Arms’' Necrotism...
