...Whether you're a true blue avid follower of David Bowie (like myself) or just a casual take-it or leave-it type of fan, this album will appeal. It features the best of Bowie's career from his first hit in 1969 right up to his latest releases in 1987. Being a double CD the EMI release features 37 songs packed onto the 2 discs. The US issue on RYKO features 39 tracks and is slightly more updated featuring a song from 1993. It also misses a few of tracks on the UK version but adds a few different ones. (Just something for the Bowiephile but probably not that important for the Bowie novice). ...and just consider for a moment the tracks you get here - Space Oddity, Changes, Starman, Ziggy Stardust, Suffragette City, John I'm Only Dancing, Jean Genie, Drive In Saturday, Life On Mars, Sorrow, Rebel Rebel, Rock'n'Roll Suicide, Diamond Dogs, Knock On Wood, Young Americans, Fame, Golden Years, TVC15, Sound And Vision, Heroes, Beauty And The Beast, Boys Keep Swinging, DJ, Alabama Song, Ashes To Ashes, Fashion, Scary Monsters (And Super Creeps), Under Pressure, Wild Is The Wind, Let's Dance, China Girl, Modern Love, Blue Jean, This Is Not America, Dancing In The Street, Absolute Beginners, Day In Day Out. OOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! Who in his right mind would not have given his right arm to have laid claim to any single one of those songs, but Bowie was responsible for all of them and a great many more besides. Advantages: It's blur! Lots of great songs
Disadvantages: Probably won't be able to find one like mine!

...This has to be one of the best Blur albums. The first half of the album cannot be rivalled. There are a few songs that let the album down on the last part, most notably Turn It Up. I bought my copy of MLIR whilst in Canada so it contains 3 extra tracks. Popscene appears towards the end, and there are two bonus tracks at the end of the CD, a song called Peach, and Till The Cows Come Home, this adds to the value of the CD to me, as I don't know anyone else that has a copy like it!
