Advantages: Great playability Disadvantages: Floyd Rose tremelo not to everybodys taste
...is something I haven't noticed. On the plus side the switching system gives them a great range of tones from heavy metal right through to a strat tone. Combining the middle pickup with the neck also gives one of the best acoustic tones I've heard from a humbucker equipped guitar. Harmonics are also great on this guitar, and fret tapping is a piece of cake for all you Van Halen wannabes out there.
Nowadays, Ibanez have upgraded to the superior Infinity pickups for this model, together with a upgraded tremelo, making the guitar really good value for money.
This guitar is another which sits easily with both beginner and intermediate. Pricewise, it's a perfect starter guitar and one which you won't outgrow too quickly, however the tremelo system takes some getting used to. Changing the strings, particularly changing string gauges, can take a lot...

Advantages: Thought provoking, Timeless Disadvantages: Not long enough
...,'Only Shallow' starts, you may think that there is something wrong with the recording as it sounds like a badly warped LP, this is just a taste of things to come. It includes the singles, 'To here knows when' which first appeared on the groundbreaking 'Tremelo E.P.' and 'Soon' which was later remixed by Andy Weatherall who turned it into a dance classic. This album may need a few listens before you work out what is going on but in the end you'll be glad you did....
