Album Notes: This CD contains contains 16 tracks chroncling the 10 year history of this influential Pacific Northwest band. It features all 5 Restless studio releases as well as Greg Sage's solo album, plus rare early album tracks.
Album Reviews: Goldmine - Recommended - "...nice introduction to this underrecognized band..."
Advantages: Good to kick about your room to and release some anger! Disadvantages: Only 6 tracks.
...the Wipers, (i think!). Great opening riff, really punky. Very cool catchy song.
2) Pale Blue Eyes - A live cover. Courtney sings it a little slurringly, but still a pretty good overall song.
3) Drown Soda - An excellent song, very primal. I can't decide whether I live this studio version better than the live one on "My Body the Hand Grenade".
4) Doll Parts - By far the best song on the CD. I like this version of "Doll Parts", much better than the original, it's very raw and stripped down.
5) Violet - I also like this version better than the one on the "Live Through This" album, because the screaming is more raw and edgy!
6) Forming/Hot Chocolate Boy - Not a brilliant track, however it is an extremely short track.
The album as a whole does have a rough raw edge - but it's also a great song to slam on to release some anger and feelings...

Advantages: definately sounds like country to me!!! Disadvantages: hard to say which is my fave album of hers!
...and tell me i'm the only one you see tonight
lonely woman, lonely man
There's just some things only lonely understands"
I must admit it took me a couple of plays to love this cd. I think because i loved her previous one 'born to fly' so much this one didn't seem quite as good. But now...this could be my fave. It is definately the most consistant.
OKay some of the lyrics are cheesy...such as "asking me not to love you, is like asking niagara not to fall" and "just one big cry, big tears in my eyes, to wash you all away from me" but some are classics....such as "well i may be blind, but i can hear what you won't say"
This cd would be best played in a convertible travelling along a wide open rode somewhere in the states at sunset....or alternatively (as i did) travelling from Devon to Wolverhampton on the M5, windows up, wipers on, played loud...

Advantages: Has an orchestral slash psychadelia mix which is unique to pink floyd Disadvantages: First track is Pink floyd's longest and is long winded, may drive people crazy if you sat them down an forced them to listen to the opening track for half an hour
...the experiences of a cow but is hard to believe.A vast rushing array of instruments and sound effects including piano, trumpet, trombone, french horn and of couse a backing strings orchestra of violins and chellos through certain patches on the track. This song i would take some getting used to and patience but is a very rare treat of easy soothing listening, i think Roger Waters has his best Bass guitar work ever here it's very deep and thumping and blends well with the orhestra. The weak points of this track are the lengh and unfortunately there is an area in the track which contains a very anoying sound effect like a windcreen wiper rubbing back and forth i usually fing i have to fast forward past this bit as it is so anoying. On a whole a very inviting bass sounding deep soothing blend of brilliance a very classical edge of Pink Floyd.
IF: Has...
