...I think was one of the best songs of his career in my opinion, "The last of The Teenage idols" which again has three distinct parts 1 2 and 3, part 1 slow piano dominated part, part 2 is all wah-wah guitars and heavy metal arrangements and the last part is a 50's do-wop version of the song that grinds to a halt. In areas of Glasgow today you will see sprayed on the walls VAMBO RULES that how much of an impact Alex made, I still think VAMBO was Alex's alter-ego on stage. These first 2 albums by this amazing band where there best in my humble opinion, this material shows a band with their full creative powers and they really where this tight playing live as well, another face of 70's glam not to be missed…... ...Morning glory.. or shall we say definately glory? The best way to review this awesome cd is, to look at all the dreams and wishes made in D. Maybe, and see them all come true in Morning glory. From the burning Wah Wah on Hello, to the song of a generation that is Champagne Supernova, passing through 2 songs that will stay forever on the books of music, Wonderwall and Don't Look back in anger, serving rock'r'noll in a plate with Roll with, Morning Glory,Some Might Say, you can stare at a genious work when you listen to hey Now and Cast no Shadow and you can end with the innocent She's Electric that is one great great song. The two instrumentals, that are called Swamp Song are one demonstration that Oasis can be great without lyrics too. Add it all up, and you have the Record of a Generation , our morning glory... ...from Satch these days, Very cool rememberable melodys tipped off with smooth wah wah and overdrive, this is one of my favourite songs on the album, it shows Satriani's ability to develop a simple melody over and over again, turning it into something mad! a great song which shows some very difficult guitar techniques, if u try play it im sure you will agree! 3. Hands In The Air-4.27- Another nice opening for a song, cool riff backed up with some simple but effective chords, and just when you think thats enough he blasts in with a smooth overdriven solo! like a knight on a white horse! backed up with plenty of reverb and delay! naturally!, very catchy song! i like it! 4. Lifestyles- 4:34- Good work satch! , Satch throws in some of his vocals on this one! cant say hes got the best voice ever, but the lyrics are pretty cool and its pretty... Read review
