Advantages: excellent music, history recorded, Dylan at war with the audience, unique expirence Disadvantages: addictive, NONE!
.... He plants his songs in your head with remarkable precision, and still he keeps hold of his noble view that everyone should trust themselves and not worship people like himself. This feature in Dylan's live ability becomes very important to understand when listening to the 1966 bootleg performance. Perhaps you can only truly appreciate what is happening in the audience if you have sat before Dylan and experienced him. But you can get a very good idea without knowing first hand such is the power of the 1966 recording.
I kept putting off buying this album because I thought it was going to be 'special' and I spent about two years potentially building myself up for a massive disappointment. Surely nothing could live up to all the hype this album had received? Well let me set this out for you.

Brian Wilson, leader of ‘The Beach Boys’, was trying to do the best album in music history. After realising the marvellous ‘Pet sounds’ (witch inspired The Beatles, specially McCartney, to do this ‘Sgt. Pepper’s’), he was trying to improve the quality of his sound. Paul was with them some day, helping with a song, and at a break, he sat at the piano and started to play ‘A Day in the Life’. Wilson got depressed and gave up with his new album. He thought after listening to ‘A Day in the life’ he would never surpass the Beatles (in fact, the album he was working at didn’t came out). It's Prince, born Prince Rogers Nelson, in Minneapolis 46 years ago is a very talented singer/multi-instrumentalist (with the emphasis on "mentalist"). A master of rock, funk, pop and soul, his most famous record is probably "Kiss".
Between 1983 and 1993 he released one album every year until his record company took more control of his work and asked him to slow down his work-rate and spend more time on promotion.
He responded by changing his name to an unintelligible symbol, writing the word "slave" on his cheek and actively not promoting his work.
He returned this year with the fine Musicology album.
