Tupac Amaru Shakur was born in New York in 1971. He quickly became someone to look up to for Black Males in the USA and spent his short-lived career passing on messages to all his fans through his music. He spent a lot of his life in LA, which was to cause problems for the future.
The East coast - West coast hip hop rivalry of the mid-90's finally resulted in the deaths of 2 of the greatest Rap artists to have ever lived, The Notorious BIG, and Tupac.
Pac was shot and killed in 1996, having released 5 albums, 2 of which went gold, 1 which went platinum, 1 went 2X platinum. After this, his mother released his unreleased albums over the next 2 years. All went multiplatinum, the most successful being "All Eyez On Me" which went 9X Platinum!!!
After these 4 albums, fans begged for more work and so a compilation CD was made late in 2000. The "Greatest Hits" also went 9X Platinum. Around the same time, many Hip Hop artists decided to make an album to pay tribute to the rapper. This was called the Rose that grew from the concrete, and included a lot of 2pac's poetry and lyrics.
Finally, there was nothing left to release in terms of full albums. However, this is not where it ended. First "Until the end of time", a double CD album, was released in 2001. This was made of tracks he had made but never used. Some tracks were even made with 2pac vocals and music added.
The Second album of this type was released in 2002. Better Dayz was to be an album to take fans back to the days of Pac, or even bring Pac to our day. The album includes a lot of other artists known well today in the world of Hip Hop such as Tyrese, Mr Big, and Nas. As the lady in the introduction to this album says (also the title of this review), where are all the songs coming from? It seems so unbelievable how the lyrics are so relevant to us even now.
There is an equal mix of 2pacs different styles. One style is him rapping about how everything is going good and his replies to what other rappers say about him. The 2nd style is one where he talks about what is going on in the world and how we should sort ourselves out and help each other. Tracks like Mama's just a little girl, thugz mansion, never call u b**ch again, better dayz and U can call have got some of the best lyrics Pac has made.
For an artist who has been more successful after his death, I think the reign will continue. People look at Pac as one of the best rappers to have lived, and in an age where the rap music usually has meaningless lyrics, and the music is becoming worse, its nice to go back to the days of the greats. I think this album brings Pac to us in person.
Pac is the greatest!!! No one can touch him! except Biggie maybe!
Advantages: Newest Tupac CD Disadvantages: He's not alive to see it released
...just as good if not better than his other ones. It's a double CD so it means you get allot of songs for your money and its not a usual double CD where 3/4 of the songs are rubbish. All the songs on this album are good.
The one song which I believe is not as good is the others and that is better dayz as it seems that 2Pac got as bit lazy when doing the chorus as he only says better dayz twice and then starts a new verse (Well that lazy in my terms ... ...Again (featuring Tyrese) *
4. Better Dayz (featuring Mr. Biggs) 5. U Can Call (featuring Jazze Pha) 6. Military Minds (from the One Nation Album, featuring CoCo Brothers) *
7. Fame (featuring Outlawz) *
8. Fair Xchange-remix (featuring Mya) *
9. Catchin Feelins (featuring Young Noble) *
10. There U Go (featuring Outlawz & Big Syke) *
11. This Life I Lead (featuring Outlawz) *

Advantages: More material from the vault Disadvantages: production, production, production
If you are an avid fan then you will probably buy this just to say you have it in the collection. If you are an addict then you will be comparing it with the unreleased songs (the OG's) which were leaked. The album starts as it finishes - trying from a marketing scheme to heighten the rumours surrounding his death, making people question whether he was alive and in hiding.
However the producers had a field day on the tracks they were allowed to ... ...apparent, to great disappointment. Some classics such as 'When We Ride On Our enemies' actually received some banging beats to just blaze to. Others such as 'My Block' received the similar good treatment. However 'Still Balling' with Trick Daddy was criticised due to him replacing Kurupt on the track, even going as far as editing his name out and replacing it so it sounds as though Pac makes out Trick was on the OG!
2 different versions of Thugz ...

Advantages: As good as ever Disadvantages: none really.
...of deep, meaningful songs ie better dayz or my block. This song as a childrens choir behind it which makes it extremely powerful. When you put on the albulm and listen to the first track (the intro) it does a countdown and then goes straight into the music. It really makes you tingle and gets you really into it. It is a double cd which is good and there is an exellent track that 2pac does with Nas and an acoustic guitar which sounds brilliant. There ... ...proper beat) on the second cd. The lyrics are as deep and meaningful as ever and you will be nodding along to the beats all the time. I suggest you try and listen to a few demos off of a website or something. Album Notes: Personnel includes; 2Pac, Mya, Jazze Pha, Nas, Outlawz, T.I., Trick Daddy, Tyrese, Anthony Hamilton, Ron Isley. Producers include: 7 Aurelius, Jazze Pha, KP, Darryl Harper, Briss. This exercise in rap-from-the-dead is brought to you courtesy of 2Pac's Mom Afeni and label boss and material witness Suge Knight. Hewing to the laws of fame intensified by early death, the pair have ensured that the late and legendary rapper's martyrdom in the East-West Coast rap wars doesn't cramp his style. The resurrected raps on the double CD BETTER DAYZ, just one in a plethora of posthumous 2Pac releases, come rattling out of the speakers in the form of remixes by such rising lights as Jazze Pha and lesser-known talents like 7 Aurelius. All participants make passable efforts at injecting some posthumous pizazz into the proceedings, notably the coruscating "Never a Peace" and the sweet-and sour Spanish guitar-accompanied "Mama's Just a Little Girl." So just sit back and enjoy the artistry, and most of all the essential humanity of 2Pac's particular flavor--and the artful smoke and mirrors of the remixers as they reassemble these fragments and sketches into listenable tracks.
