Tupac Amaru Shakur was born in New York in 1971. He quickly became someone to look up to for Black Males in the USA and spent his short-lived career passing on messages to all his fans through his music. He spent a lot of his life in LA, which was to cause problems for the future.

The East coast - West coast hip hop rivalry of the mid-90's finally resulted in the deaths of 2 of the greatest Rap artists to have ever lived, The Notorious BIG, and Tupac.

Pac was shot and killed in 1996, having released 5 albums, 2 of which went gold, 1 which went platinum, 1 went 2X platinum. After this, his mother released his unreleased albums over the next 2 years. All went multiplatinum, the most successful being "All Eyez On Me" which went 9X Platinum!!!

After these 4 albums, fans begged for more work and so a compilation CD was made late in 2000. The "Greatest Hits" also went 9X Platinum. Around the same time, many Hip Hop artists decided to make an album to pay tribute to the rapper. This was called the Rose that grew from the concrete, and included a lot of 2pac's poetry and lyrics.

Finally, there was nothing left to release in terms of full albums. However, this is not where it ended. First "Until the end of time", a double CD album, was released in 2001. This was made of tracks he had made but never used. Some tracks were even made with 2pac vocals and music added.

The Second album of this type was released in 2002. Better Dayz was to be an album to take fans back to the days of Pac, or even bring Pac to our day. The album includes a lot of other artists known well today in the world of Hip Hop such as Tyrese, Mr Big, and Nas. As the lady in the introduction to this album says (also the title of this review), where are all the songs coming from? It seems so unbelievable how the lyrics are so relevant to us even now.

There is an equal mix of 2pacs different styles. One style is him rapping about how everything is going good and his replies to what other rappers say about him. The 2nd style is one where he talks about what is going on in the world and how we should sort ourselves out and help each other. Tracks like Mama's just a little girl, thugz mansion, never call u b**ch again, better dayz and U can call have got some of the best lyrics Pac has made.

For an artist who has been more successful after his death, I think the reign will continue. People look at Pac as one of the best rappers to have lived, and in an age where the rap music usually has meaningless lyrics, and the music is becoming worse, its nice to go back to the days of the greats. I think this album brings Pac to us in person.

Pac is the greatest!!! No one can touch him! except Biggie maybe!
