This came out in 1994 with the final film of the Beverly Hills cop trilogy.
To date this is one of the worst soundtracks I have ever heard with the exception of two songs, "Come see about me" by The Supremes and "Keep the peace" by INXS.
These two songs are ... ...will remember exactly what was going on at the time they were in the background. Who can forget the mechanics singing and dancing to the Pointer sisters !!
The rest of the songs do not leave a mark on you at all and you will not remember where they were in the film, funnily enough I have not heard from any of the other bands on this album ever again apart from Terrence Trent D'Arby who at least attempted to do a decent song for this ... more
As I enjoyed and wrote about the second Beverly Hills Cop soundtrack which I really enjoyed, I thought I had better review this one to warn people not to buy this. This came out in 1994 with the final film of the Beverly Hills cop trilogy. To date this is one of the worst soundtracks I have ever heard with the exception of two songs, "Come see about me" by The Supremes and "Keep the peace" by INXS. These two songs are no doubt the best in the entire film, and you will remember exactly what was going on at the time they were in the background. Who can forget the mechanics singing and dancing to the Pointer sisters !!
The rest of the songs do not leave a mark on you at all and you will not remember where they were in the film, funnily enough I have not heard from any of the other bands on this album ever again apart from Terrence Trent D'Arby who at least attempted to do a decent song for this film.
The tracks on this are :
1. The place where you belong by SHAI 2. Summer jamming by Inner circle 3. Luv 4 dem gangsters by Eazy E 4. Mood by Chante Moore 5. The right kinda lover by Patti Labelle 6. Keep the peace by INXS 7. Right thing, wrong way by Terrence Trent D'Arby 8. Leavin by Tony toni Tone 9. Axel F by Richard Hilton 10. Come see about me by The Supremes
It certainly appers on this album that they have left all of the decent songs on the film without putting them on this album, it all depends if you like any of these mentioned bands at all before attempting to put this on. I have found the tunes themselfs to be very similar to each other, and sound very boring after just one listen. There are a lot of slow rap songs on here, but on this album when you have heard one you have heard them all. Where are the artists now I wonder ?
Another reason for not getting this soundtrack is because it only has ten songs on it, I know when I reviewed the second one that had about the same, but in that case of the second one I really did enjoy it. Most other soundtracks have at least sixteen songs on.
Hope this has been some help to everybody out there. Please do not buy this !!
