Advantages: Fantastic Hit records Disadvantages: A few you don`t know
...work is still good later on, but not as memorable as the earler stuff. Taken from the Album -
While The City Sleeps.
14) Love All The Hurt Away - Released in 1981. Another slow song (with Aretha Franklin on vocals). This works better than the last duet. The voices combine well together and it works. Nice song that leaves you feeling very happy. Taken from the Album - The GeorgeBenson Collection.
15) Being With You - Released in 1983. This is one that I remeber form the last dance at the local disco. Another instrumental. Taken from the Album - In Your Eyes.
16) Moody`s Mood - Released in 1980. With Patti Austin. Very blue and souful. Not my favorite. Taken from the Album - Give Me The Night.
17) Nature Boy - Released in 1977. Brilliant. What can I say. `There was a boy, a very strange enchanted boy`. This song is fantastic. Taken from...

Advantages: Value for money; comprehensive; uplifting; music for the soul! Disadvantages: Could have been a 2 disc set!
...If you're starting out as a GeorgeBenson fan or just being a completist, this is definitely the compilation to go for!
Perfect for summer days and really uplifting for the winter nights.
I had this album on constant replay when I was revising for my exams this year and judging by my results, something inspired me!
Whether you want to freak out or chill out, this is the album for you. If you were a fan of Michael Jackson's 'Off the wall' or anything Quincy Jones was producing in the late 70s/early 80s (Brothers Johnson, 'Ai No Corrida' etc.) you're bound to love 'Give me the night' or 'Love x Love.'
However, this album has much more to give! The compilation features George's most commercially successful recordings whilst at Warner from the dance-floor disco-edged fillers like 'Give Me The Night,' 'Turn Your Love Around' and 'Lady (Love...

Advantages: Jack White & Brendan Benson Disadvantages: A Bit Depressing
...The Raconteur's (Jack Lawrence, Brendan Benson, Jack White and Patrick Keeler) Debut album, Broken Boy soldiers is a breath of fresh air in the music world! Benson & White's vocals go surprisingly well together and the album manages to retain a good blues feel to it throughout (although this is mainly a rocky album). White's haunting guitar playing and solos bring a great "AIR" to the songs. Backed up by Keeler's superb Drumming and Held together by Jack Lawrence's chunky Baselines. I'm going to stick with "Steady, As She Goes" (track 1) as the best song on the album and unsurprisingly this was released as a single.
Cover/Inlay: On the cover is a gothic-style photo of the band.
Track List:
1. Steady, As She Goes
2. Hands
3. Broken Boy Soldier
4. Intimate Secretary
5. Together
6. Level
7. Store Bought Bones
8. Yellow Sun
9...
