...SITAR SOUL is like foreever kind of a music which really opens the hidden truth of life by bringing mental peace to your mind. I think Ravi shankar is capable and even famous for Composing Music which is not composed by rules.No doubt his music is inexpressible Im a DIE HARD fan of Pandit Ravi Shankar ,after silence the next thing which comes to my mind is his SITAR.I feel this is one of his best creations.Raga Mishra Kafi and Raga Mian Ki Malhar are my favourites among all tracks. SITAR played by him in this album really kills the silence.Im pretty sure that SOUL OF SITAR will definately going to touch everybody's soul ,after all its straight from Pandit ji's heart & soul. ...(although TC have done as much remixes as their original songs), it is very unique, profound and thoughtful collection of songs that will make you come back for more many times. Marching the Hate Machines (Into the Sun) featuring The Flaming Lips – light and atmospheric sound with few lazy beats, but also pay attention to lyrics. Pretty striking and you would not expect something like this with nice chilled out sounds in background. Warning Shots featuring Sleepy Wonder and Gunjan – more beats and more rhythm with provoking Sleepy’s voice. The best parts are lyrics “Hollywood sending signals of destruction .Stereotype the ghetto youths as the bad man. ...this woman is truly amazing. at quite a young age comparitivly, she has established herself in a field where very few people have comitted themselves. being one of the few hindustani violinists she has truly broken ice for many other artists. also, she is so talented that she learns from the master vocalist pandit Jasraj ji. i read some where that when she was younger, it was all practise, no play. in her playing it shows that she is truly very developed and unique in her own way with amazing qualities as a violinist. kala ramnath is a true female ambassabor for hindustani classical music of the recent generation. i truly beilieve we have much more to expect of her in the soon future....
