Big Band Swing Vol.1 - Various Artists

...Brill album, much better than the first Radio one live lounge album. All tracks have been previously played on the radio one live lounge with Joe Willie, but I never get a chance to listen to them all first time they are on the radio, so its nice to hear them all. Some tracks really funny and are all by well-known artist's. The artists and bands either record alternative recordings of there own songs or ones by other artists, which is really interesting. I really love the Amy winehouse - Valerie its a slower version and is really good. It features allot of the top 40 bands and gives you a chance of hearing unusual tracks that you would not normally hear from such band albums. Highly Recommended.... Read review

...93Feet have been doing the rounds on the small gig tour for the lasst year and I hope you have been lucky enough to catch them live. Currently in the studio recording material, this band are already being spied on by various record company scouts and are getting a good reputation. Their style is funky guitar, pounding beats - a mish mash of funk soul acid jazz. Guitar player Harvey is extremely apt at what he loves doing and gives a great performance. Drummer JJ looks insane while he's playing but doesn't miss a beat. Singer Craig can croon with the best of them. The band have hit some high profile venues - once even playing at the Groucho Club in London to an impressed audience. ...the live lounge CD from radio 1 is formed my covers from other artists found on the jo whiley show. The CD shows the raw talent of some of the uk's new and upcoming artists. This CD also shows songs done in different ways, an intresting change to the songs you enjoy to listen to, and also making you love a song that before you could not stand to listen to. This CD contains 2 CD's so is full of tracks, 40 overall. the songs are done by jo whiley having bands on her show where they preform a version of there current single and then a cover. all done live. Some of the tracks on this album are an instant hit, but some can wreck your love for certain songs. a must buy, a new change for music.... Read review
