Talking about the 1987 Ltd. UK-slipcase Edition CD
Review of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band - Beatles (The) by CrutcHead

Advantages: ADVANCED!
Disadvantages: lesser known studio technology in its time of release

...The granddaddy of all concept albums coming out from the band that quite pioneered almost everything in the music industry, opening with its first lines on its title track: “It was twenty years ago today, Sgt Pepper’s told the band to play…” … and thus it was when this re-issue came in -- packaged on an O-card/slipcase, with a jewel case sized accompanying full colour 24 page booklet, consisting of the album’s lyrics, stats, and commentaries, including how the album cover for the record came about (its actually only here where I found out that the cover was actually an actual picture, and those pictures on the background which consists of THE BEATLES’ ‘favourite figures’ such as Alister Crowley, Marilyn Monroe, Dion DeMucci, Laurel & Hardy, themselves, Bob Dylan, Karl Marx, among many others are actual cut-outs and/or wax mannequin... Goodbye Mr A but not the Hoosiers
Review of Trick To Life, The [ECD] - Hoosiers (The) by jimmyd282

Advantages: Fantastic debut with every song being original and catchy
Disadvantages: Not completely original, catchy but not groundbreaking lyrics

...From hearing the wonderful single ''Worried About Ray'', I knew the Hoosiers were set for big things. This catchy and melodic tune was soon making itself known to the indie-pop fans. Even though no one knew who this mysterious band was, everyone loved it. With their next single, ''Goodbye Mr A'' getting into the top 10, people expected big from their debut album, and they were given what they deserved. The album provides sharp and catchy tunes in the likes of ''Worst Case Scenario'' and ''Cops & Robbers'' mixed in with slower emotive songs with ''Run Rabbit Run'' and ''A Sadness Runs Through Him'' before sending the listener into the depths of the phenomenal instrumental finale, ''Money To Be Made'' and with the superiority of this stupendous debut, this is exactly what they'll be making for many years to come.... the glenn miller orchestra uk
Review of Legend Lives On, The - Glenn Miller Orchestra UK (The) by jackiehayes

Advantages: great big band music
Disadvantages: none

...The Glenn Miller Orchestra UK was founded by Ray McVay in the 80's . This was done after talks with the Glenn Miller Estate, who had listened to many of Ray McVay's tracks. Who is Ray McVay? Ray McVay was born in the late 30's in Scotland. He became a professional musician at the tender age of 13 as a rocking sax player. In the 50's he became a music director for many big names such as Gene Vincent, Eddie Cochran, Conway Twitty and Billy Fury. As Rays name got bigger and better known in the music industry, and fronted his own show band known as the Ray McVay Orchestra. He started to play for the Mecca Organization playing around the country before headlining at Mecca's big venue, the Lyceum Ballroom in London's west end.. Ray McVay then became a household name in the UK when he was featured on the TV series Come... Read review
