Advantages: Disadvantages:
...Another cheap punk sampler, this time from LameAss records, and as per normal with these low price saplers, is no disappointment.
With 28 tracks in all bands that appear on this compilation include Good Riddance, No Fun At All, Guttermouth, Douglas, Pulley, 88 Fingers Louie, Ten Foot Pole, Gob, Buck O Nine, Big Wig, Trigger Happy and Raised Fist.
Also contains 2 unreleased tracks from Less Than Jake and Astream.
The only track I was disappointed with was River Fenix’s song. Having seen the band live and really enjoyed them, this song was a bit of a let down. Not as good as I remember them.
This is really good cd and well worth the dirt cheap asking price. Value for money guaranteed....

Advantages: So many bands Disadvantages: Interrupt Vector
...There are quite a few of these cheap little compilations around. But this I think, is the best I've ever heard. It has over 72 minutes of brilliant punk rock tunes (not includuing the last one, whatever the flip that is!!)
Style varies throughout the whole CD, from some poppy punk bands such as Fenix TX (River Fenix), to some heavier stuff by Good Riddance, Gob and 88 Fingers Louie.
For it to contain sooo many good songs, is quite rare for a compliation like this. Although it is a little more expensive than most of its competition being released on Epitaph, Fat etc etc etc. it's well worth it.
LameAss have borrowed a few bands from other labels such as Fat,Drive-thru, Epitaph etc, so by mixing them in with their own, there's an excellent collection of bands. I even found a few new favourites in Douglas and 88 Fingers Louie.

Advantages: Fantastic range of great tunes and songs Disadvantages: None
...My late Father would have approved of this CD. For this, he would have said, was real Jazz. "Not like this modern rubbish!"
My father's idea of real Jazz was music by the greats of the 1920 and 1930s. Jack Teagarden, for example. Mezz Mezzrow, was another of his heroes. And perhaps some of the early Louis Armstrong.
Well, two out of three ain't bad. There's no Mezz Mezzrow on this CD, but there is plenty of Jack Teagarden and some early Louis Armstrong, too. There's also Lester Young and Artie Shaw, too.
I have to agree with my dad. This rocks. Well, perhaps not rocks, but I think you know what I mean!
Jack Teagarden's jazz is the ultimate in smoooooth jazz. Until he really wanted to become lively, then it was as if you were listening to an entirely different orchestra. The first two Jack Teagarden and his Orchestra tracks (So Many...
