Advantages: A raw, energetic album from an underrated band Disadvantages: The odd weak track...
...Oh go on then, I'll review another band that thoroughly impressed me at Reading Festival this year, and probably my surprise package of the whole weekend. Before they came on stage, I knew only one song by the Cribs, a three-piece all brother band - Martell; and knew absolutely nothing else. When they finished I was totally converted, so felt it necessary to buy an album! That album being "The New Fellas" - the band's second album released on Wichita records, after their debut self-titled release in 2004.
Obviously, 'Indie' would describe the band's style best of all, but after listening to them straight away, an Northern England version of the Strokes would be even better and very much correct - Wakefield to be exact!!
This 11-track offering showcases their talent perfectly. Opening track "Hey Scenesters!" defines energy...

Advantages: Environmental friendly, good values, products not tested on animals Disadvantages: Results not satisfactory, not a good outcome
...At one of my trips at the saloon, I was recommended some products from Paul Mitchell for my daughter, who has a frizzy and curly hair which seems to have gone in a very bad shape over the last year.
I have to admit that up until this point I have never heard of this brand, so I have decided to give it a try and see if it will help getting my little daughter?s hair back in shape. Advantages: Stunning overall package, raw energetic sound Disadvantages: Very unpolished, takes some getting used to
...Longer Cheat You. This track illuminates the influence The Kaiser Chiefs and Franz Ferdinand have had on The Cribs; probably my least favourite track on this album in terms of the verses redeems itself by the addictive chorus, but still doesn't reach the standard of the rest of the album 6/10
Track 6 -It Was Only Love, Ryan's voice is on top form on this track, deep and tuneful the only let down on this beautiful song is the sound quality, again slightly fuzzy, but it complements the understated melody enough to be virtually unnoticeable 8/10
Track 7 - The New Fellas, another rip-roaring track, proving the Cribs are the new fellas, not my favourite track on the album, but still an impressive offering from the boys 7/10
Track 8 - Hello Oh, A great song, melodic and impressive this song shows influences of The Beatles...
