I'm 26 and from Falkirk, Scotland. I love listening to music, going to gigs, and taking photos/designing stuff. Check out my band at www.akolayd.co.uk (we always like to hear what folk think about our songs!!). Thanks for any comments/ratings :-)

This CD is a fab mix of 'girls getting ready to hit the town tunes' from 70's classic Blondie's 'Atomic' to the 80's Soft Cell's 'Tainted Love', right up to the present with hits from Mika and Rhianna...
I bought this CD for when my friends come round as they probably wouldn't like a lot of the rock/punk music I listen to, and when your making cocktails or straightening your hair this is fun in the background (for singing with your hairbrush!!). It includes some cheesy stuff like Flashdance and S Clubs 'Don't Stop Moving,' but also dance classics Modjo 'Lady(Hear me tonight)' and Cascada 'Everytime we Touch.'
The good thing about this album is many of these artists (40 in total) - I wouldn't want a full album of their songs ...but here's there best! The price is very reasonable as you get a good 3-4 hours of tunes and you don't need to skip many.
The cover is a group of mates in a club. The girls look like their having fun (not sure why they put a guy on the cover, he looks a bit boy-bandish). The title 'Big Night Out' is in pink, font is a scribble and this makes it appealing to teenagers/young girls. The top artists are listed 'MIKA/girls aloud/amy winehouse/gwen stefani/take that/scissor sisters/just jack/sugababes/nelly furtado.'
The back is black with tracklisting in pink. CD1: MIKA - Grace Kelly (*one of the newest and best tracks) Scissor Sisters - I don't feel like dancing (*love this band after I saw them at T in the park) Take That - Shine Girls Aloud vs Sugababes - Push the Button Gwen Stefani - What You Waiting for? (*I prefer No Doubt but Gwens becoming a pop queen) Rhianna - SOS Sophie Ellis Bextor - Catch you Seamus Haji - Last Night a DJ Saved my Life Inaya Day - Nasty Girl Michael Gray - Weekend Salt n Pepa - Push It (*this takes me back to being about 12!!!!) Blondie - Atomic (*classic that everyone loves) Rachel Stevens - Sweet Dreams My LA Ex TIGA - You gonna want me Soft Cell - Tainted Love (*another classic, theres been so many good versions of this) Kelly Clarkson - Since you been gone The Killers - Somebody Told Me (*great track from a classic album) Bodyrox feat Luciana - Yeah yeah
CD2: Girls Aloud - Something kinda oooh Nelly Furtado - Maneater (*her new stuff is so much better than first album) Amy Winehouse - Rehab Just Jack - Starz in their Eyes All Saints - Rock Steady Britney - Toxic (*not a fan, but she is a pop princess!) Pink - Get the party started (*this reminds me of a girls holiday I went on where we played Pink all week in our apartment) Kaiser Chiefs - Oh my God (*amazing live band) Freemasons feat Amanda Wilson - Love on my Mind Wifi feat Melanie M - Be Without You Modjo - Lady (Hear me tonight) Sunblock feat Robin Beck - First Time Irene Cara - Flashdance S Club 7 - Don't Stop Moving (*so bad its good!) Abba - Voulez Vous Hi Tack - Say say say (waiting for you) Cascada - Everytime we touch Infernal - From Paris to Berlin The Pussycat Dolls - Don't Cha Black Eyed Peas - My Humps (*sexy song from another terrific live act)
I would recommend this CD to anyone who likes cheesy pop as a bit of fun/warm up CD.
