Advantages: Great Guitar, good vocals and truly unique songwriting Disadvantages: Not enough solos, lyrics sometimes unclear.
...Slash has left Guns N Roses and started a new rock band "Velvet Revolver". This is there debut album "Contraband".
"Sucker Train Blues"
This track is awesome, insane guitar solo where Slash makes full use of the whammy bar!! Its a fast song, the lyrics in the verse are slightly unclear and are hard to make out. The chorus is very catchy and you will be humming that for a long time.
"Do It For The Kids"
This album keeps getting better and better- truly original intro, where Scott Weiland screams, "I'm going to fast and out of luck and i don't even give a fuck!" then at which point Dave Kushner(Rhythm Guitar) breaks in with a killer riff which Slash solos all over. "Big Machine"
This is a good song, not as good as the previous but still good...

Vocals: I feel these need to be mentioned specifically as
they are what attracted me first to this band. The lead singer
Omar Rodreguez-Lopez has a sort of haunting quality to his
voice and the way he sings the words is so passionate that
you can't help but get carried away into the fantastic lyrics.
He also reaches pitches and holds notes amazingly.
Clearly he is uniquely talented.
