Album Notes: Rani Arbo/Daisy Mayhem: Anand Nayak (guitar); Andrew Kinsey (banjo); Rani Arbo (fiddle); Scott Kessel (unknown instrument).
Album Reviews: Dirty Linen (p.54) - "Arbo's buoyant alto voice lifts the proceedings, and her fiddle flavors the edges. Rounding out the sound are Anand Nyak on guitar and Andrew Kinsey on upright bass."
Advantages: A mixture of good sounds | Excellent lyrics once more Disadvantages: Some weak tracks
...First there was the birth of the Eels with Beautiful Freak. A bunch of quirky, rocky little tunes that got them noticed for the first time. Then there was the funeral when things took a turn to the darkside with Electro-shock Blues. Daisies of the Galaxy was the wake, stepping out of the shadows and into the bright sunshine. So what would we class Souljacker as? Well the calling it the marriage seems suitable as E himself got himself hitched whilst recording this album. This unconventional path of life has been rewarding to the fans so far and seems to carry on with the latest album.
Souljacker is a mix of heavy rock and gentle love songs. The rock is sometimes raw and often harsh in mood and tone, linking to the Electro-shock Blue phase. The gentle love songs are obviously inspiration from his wife. They make up quite...

Advantages: Street Life's spectacular lyricism is stellar like A STAR and IS BORN within each song. Disadvantages: Filler songs with atrocious beats that make my ears HUNG in THESE hideous STREETS!
...in the background bless my eardrums with the sound of old school Hip Hop.
This message goes out to ALL MY Ni**AS across the world - this is Street Life on Street radio, live in stereo flow, no video and still ghetto slang pro!
Rating: 10/10
3. A STAR IS BORN (3:28 min) Feat. Inspectah Deck)
(Note: Although Carlton Fisk is not credited on this album, he is featured on this track.)
As I enter chapter 3 of 'Street Education', I discover that Inspectah Deck ( real name: Jason Hunter ) appears as the second character in Street Life's album. He performs A STAR collaboration with Street Life as Street Life himself conforms to a multi...

Advantages: SKA! Great Lyrics, Very Catchy Disadvantages: Some Fillers
...the title “Big F*****g Star”) in various guises. It stars off really gentle and so quite that you almost have to turn the volume up and includes what sounds like a xylophone! It then busts into life with shouty lyrics which will scare the life out of you if you turned the CD player up at the beginning…
13. The Kids Don’t Like It (3.20)
Another one which I really like. Starts off in mock rap style before going back to the traditional RBF sound and is about them trying to do something different but “the kid’s don’t like it”.
“I thought there’d come a day when I’d run out of things to say, but now I know it’s true, no one listens anyway”
14. Down In Flames (4.49)
The idea of bands ‘selling out’ is a big deal to a lot of punk fans. Bands can...
