...-breaking at the time, and there were some big club smashes. Sadly few of these tracks have made it onto this compilation - the only notable exception being Princess - Say I'm Your Number One. A few of the more successful artists - like Kylie and Jason - have got two or three tracks on the album. The criteria for appearing on this album are not 100% clear to me - I was unaware that Pete Waterman had any involvement with 2 Unlimited, apart from being signed to his record label, but No Limits has made it onto the album, as has Opus Three - Fine Day. I was also surprised to see Musical Youth and Nik Kershaw - not sure how they are linked to ol' Pete.
Some of the best SAW tracks are here - Hazell Dean "Whatever I Do" and Dead or Alive "You Spin Me Round" perhaps stand out for me, but there are some duff 'uns as well (Cliff Richard's - I Just Don't Have...

...Zombie, Zombie, Zombie nation! Na na na na na, na na na na na na na na, na na na! This tune is amazing everyone loves it and if youre lucky enough to have experienced this being dropped in a club youll know what im talking bout! Wow the crowd reaction that this gets is phenominal. I noticed this track ages ago on tranceformer 2000 but never thought much to it, but now its exploded big time since the names have been playing it i.e jules and pete on radio 1.

Advantages: Some true classics including Solsbury hill, Modern love and Here comes the flood and well it's PETER GABRIEL!!!!!!!! Disadvantages: Some weak songs Peter Gabriel is still adapting to a solo career so it's a varied album
...and a rainbow hit the sky. The lyrics add to the greatness of the song 'My friends would think I was a nut, turning water into wine, open doors would soon be shut' a nice lyrical snippet of protest from Pete towards his departure from Genesis, stunning song.
3) Modern Love - What a treat two back to back Gabriel masterpieces 'Hey, i'm feeling so dirty, your looking so clean' man what a jumpstarter Pete is really getting the party started. You can really imagine this as a crowd pleaser at live shows it practically defines a live song. The guitars and the drums drive the song on and boy does Gabriel manage to go mad in style and create a true rock classic with his charm and enigma, modern love give me strength!
4) Excuse Me - A barbershop song, a very unusual bit of experimentalisation by Gabriel, his love for soul music really drives...
