Advantages: Really funny and packed full of interesting places. Disadvantages: None
!) Although the way he does it he could probably get away with swearing at the Queen! If there were such a thing as the 'best swearer', the 'Big Yin' would be it, without question!
Anyway, the tour kicks off on the South Island of NewZealand, In Invecargill, (which is apparently is the southern most city in the world), where Billy dons a leather jacket (complete with 'too old to die young' and a picture of a skull wearing glasses on the back!) Gets on his Harley Davidson trike and sets off on his amazing journey. Along the way there's laughter (lot's of laughter!), fascinating insights into the cultures, people, Maori traditions, fantastic scenery, and wonderful stories from across the Country. With live shows mixed in with exploration and tales of old, it's never dull!

Advantages: On of his best World tour Disadvantages: No extras
BillyConnolly has made 4 world tours in his time and this one may be the best of them all. This World tour of Scotland box set chronicles Billy's 40 date concert tour and his own appreciation of his home country through the eyes of this country's best comedian.
Billy takes us all through his favourite parts of his home country showing us all the hidden gems of the historic country. We see the urban hustle and bustle of major cites such as Glasgow and Edinburgh. He also shows us the extraordinary beauty of Scotland and its highlands. Plus as he travels the length and breadth of his native country he re-visits old places and discovers new ones. I think this part of his tour may bore people and they might just want the comedy but I think if those people really listen and watch what's happening they will learn about the beauty ...
Advantages: Hysterically Funny Disadvantages: Lots of Bad Language - not suitable for family viewing.
BillyConnolly is a comedian you either love or hate. I am one of those people who can go into hysterical laugher just looking at him. If you like things to be clean and politically correct, then this BillyConnolly DVD, like most of his other recordings, is not for you. I have kept it as clean as possible using "bleeps" where bad language is freely used on the DVD.
I first became aware of Billy ("The Big 'Yin") back in the early seventies when a Glaswegian friend of mine played an LP of his. It took me a while to understand the thick Scottish accent and I was then in stitches of laughter all the way through as he rattled through anecdotes of his childhood in Glasgow, working in the shipyards and then on to toilets in aeroplanes and British Rail. I have loved to watch him ever since on his many television chat shows and I never ...
