Both albums from the band have been excellent, I personally am a huge fan of each of these releases and for a long time now have been following the progression of this fantastic Canadian band. The music is hard hitting and always ... ...never is the music of Billy Talent anything short of sensational. Tracks such as 'Red Flag' and 'Surrender' impress hugely and not once does the music fail to ignite. The music is hard hitting and always it is hugely impressive as Billy Talent here blast their way through this exciting 'Billy Talent II' album.
It all begins with 'Devil in a Midnight Mass', a fiery track of epic proportions and one that I feel starts the album sensationally. Not once does the music on this album disappoint, from start to finish never is the music of Billy Talent anything short of sensational. Tracks such as 'Red Flag' and 'Surrender' impress hugely and not once does the music fail to ignite. Such energy is contained within this album, a high level of enthusiasm is here expressed by the great band that is Billy Talent.
'Surrender' is actually one of the slower paced tracks from this release, it's without doubt one of the finest however and does contain its fair share of bite. The track is catchy, the vocals are excellent, and always it is instrumentally exceptional. Few bands can impress me quite so much as Billy Talent can. All members of this band are hugely talented I feel and given that the band has been together since 1993 it is no wonder that all four of the bands members play so well together. Billy Talent is an extremely tight unit, a group of musicians that plays perfectly together and always entertains with some extremely well produced and finely created rock music.
The chorus of 'Red Flag' has to be my favourite of all on this album. It is greatly fiery and every element of the music here comes together to perfection in order to provide for me the highlight of this release. 'Billy Talent II' is an excellent album and there are many fine tracks but for me this track stands out more so than any other. 'Red Flag' is a fine piece of music, right from the very first time I heard it I loved this one and never have I grown tired of it. I don't think I shall ever cease to enjoy this track, or any of those present on this album in fact; all of the music on this album impresses me greatly and never does Billy Talent here put a foot wrong as a band.
'Burn The Evidence' ends this album on a high, yet another fiery offering of music from the band and a track that does nothing but impress me. As ever the chorus is absolutely fantastic and the music here is an absolute joy to listen to. Closing tracks are extremely important to me on albums, always they have to be perfect and it must be said that 'Burn The Evidence' isn't far from it. It's extremely hard hitting, instantly it grabs your attention and not once does it let go. It'd be hard to listen to 'Burn The Evidence' without finding yourself to be highly impressed I feel, the music is just so exquisite and in my opinion this is perhaps one of the finest closing tracks there is.
Although titled 'Billy Talent II', this is actually the third album to have been released by this band albeit their second as a major label artist. It's an excellent display of rock which combines magnificently the genres of alternative rock and post-hardcore. The music is fiery, the vocals are superbly sung and never once in the albums 47 minute run time do I ever find myself to be anything but entirely impressed. Billy Talent is an inspirational rock band, the first track I ever heard of theirs was 'The Ex' which featured on the 'Billy Talent' album and since then I have had nothing but love for this band. The music is full of energy and always extremely fun, to tell you the truth I can't recommend this 'Billy Talent II' album highly enough. In my opinion this is one of the best albums that has ever been released in its genre, thirteen tracks are here contained of absolute aural excellence.
Advantages: Better than the 1st? Must own album. Disadvantages: We want more!

Over last few years they've gained quite a following after the release of 'Billy Talent' their debut album. And not without reason, 'Billy Talent' was really like a slap in the face, and was a amazing album, whereas 'Billy Talent II" is like a kick in the balls, but gives you some sympathy afterwards.
Opening track 'Devil in a Midnight Mass' is a out and out Billy ... ...this album that it wouldn't disappoint. And on 1st listen, I was blow away.
Billy Talent are unique and I cannot put them in a genre, get this record, then get the 1st, play them back to back and get 2 hours of enjoyment.
You won't be disappointed. ...

this album is amazing, the second by this band and just as good as the first. the album opens with the adrenaline packed 'devil in a midnight mass', and leads smoothly onto 'red flag' which opens with its simple but mesmerising drum beat and 'gang' vocals (the whole band singing). Then 'this suffereing comes along, with its simple guitar intro and melodic singing, the chorus to this one will have you singing along by the second time you've heard ... ...a potent metaphor the west world invading the east, and done with a pretty damn catchy riff and the high pitch scraming of Benjamin Kowalewicz. you just cant go wrong with that.the next track is 'pins and needles' with its potent out of tone style intro and emotion filled lyrics, its a winner. next up we have 'fallen leaves' nice intro riff, nice chorus riff, and nice slow verse vocals, again, a really good track. coming up next we have 'where is ...

...never been a fan of Billy Talent, the first songs I hured from them was the song Red Flag I did like this song but I did not know if Billy Talent was any good. I was searching for music to put on my Ipod so I went and bought this cd I am very impressed with it so far. The band Billy Talent is a very high quality band. I also am a very big fan of the style of music that they sing so that is properly why I like them so much. I first enjoyed this cd ... ...to find some songs from Billy Talent that I had not hured before so that I searched on Youtube and found some new songs that I was very impressed with. Advantages: Great songs with original sounding vocals! Disadvantages: Would possibly only appeal to people interested in the rock/punk/emo styles of music
...in my opinion! Canadian band Billy Talent have been forgotten about or overlooked by too many people and yet they have produced 2 of my favourite albums! I would recommend giving either 'Billy Talent' (previous album) or 'Billy Talent II' (this album) a listen, because even if you try it and its not for you, its better than completely overlooking these 2 brilliant records. If you enjoy the music of My Chemical Romance, Lostprophets, any punk such ... ...Billy Talent could very well be for you!
My personal favourite songs on this album are 'This Suffering', 'Perfect World' and 'Burn the Evidence', In my ever over-opinionated mind, I have ordered the tracks on this album to show which songs I think are the strongest. 1 - This Suffering

The band were originally named Pezz, who recorded their first full length album in 1998... this album only became popular with in the then indie scene in Toronto.
The band became BillyTalent in 2001 after overcoming legal trouble (inspired by Micheal Turners novel)
After releasing their 4 song EP in 2001 'Try Honesty' the band began to attract media attention and finally signed with Atlantic Records and Warner Music Canada.
In 2003 the band released 'BillyTalent' their self titled album.

The second album by punk revivalists Billy Talent finds the Ontario quartet following through on the excitement generated by their debut and dedicated touring schedule.
