Advantages: Lightweight. Different colours Disadvantages: Bulky. Hard to see the correct time
My husband had the One Binary Watch bought for his birthday. It looks very impressive and people were very interested in it.
The plus points are that it is lightweight, although bulky and comes in colours that are easy to coordinate.
The minus side is that it is very difficult to tell the time. With an ordinary digital watch you can glance at your wrist and see the time immediately. With a binary watch you have to calculate the time by counting the number of points that are lit up.
I would suggest that this watch is ideal for someone who is fascinated by new concepts. However, if you need the time in a hurry then this is not the watch for you. ...

Cracking Codes is another book in 'The Knowledge' series written for children aged between 9-14. Various authors write this series and each book tackles a different subject. The fun way in which the books are written allows them to discuss some difficult subjects and theories without them seeming boring or over complicated. In this way the books give children a vast amount of information and knowledge without the children being aware that they are learning so much and more importantly without giving them a brain overload.
Although I have mentioned that these books are primarily written for children I think that they are just as suitable for young adults as the vast amount of information in them is amazing and is told in a concise yet extremely informative way. Advantages: Good cast Disadvantages: Incomprehensible in places
I saw this film at the cinema recently. It is written by Frank Cottrell Boyce, directed by Michael Winterbottom and produced by Andrew Eaton.
Code 46 stars Tim Robbins and Samantha Morton and it is a sci-fi romance, mixed with film-noir elements.
The basic plot is that it is the not-too-distant future on Earth and science has invented strange viruses and people need a single document to move from one country to another. Cities are over-crowded and they are guarded by high-security checkpoints. Without the right card - a "papelle" - people are left without anywhere to live or any real identity. The deserts are populated by people who have no ID. The card is basically ID and insurance and a Visa rolled into one.
