Sweet pea Lathyrus odoratus
I am thinking of sowing some sweet peas in the garden soon.
I can put the seeds in the soil in the end of September early October. I could wait till April to sow but if I sow now they will flower earlier. The plants tend to be stronger too.
I will probably start mine off in a pot then I know where the seeds are but you could put them straight into the garden soil.
I shall put the pots in a cold frame. They will be easier to protect against the slugs, snails mice and birds who love them to eat
I shall plant them in the growing place in March April time.
Sweet peas sweet smell pretty, climbing up fences or trellises. The cut flowers look good in flower decorations or in a summer bride's bouquet

Advantages: Quite Easy To Grow Disadvantages: Toxic Leaves
but over-watering can cause them to become "leggy." Each leaf is dark green in colour and has four rows of raised silver spots that are symmetrical. The leaves on younger Plants tend to be shorter and rounder but on a fully grown Plant they will reach about three inches in length. These leaves are quite toxic and should be kept out of reach of small Children since licking ones fingers after touching these leaves can lead to an upset stomach. Eating a leaf would not be fatal but the results would be quite unpleasant.
Most House Plants do require a few basic things and the Aluminium Plant is no exception. They cannot tolerate temperatures below 7 degrees centigrade, but ideally prefer temperatures above 10 degrees, even during the Winter Months when the Plants are not growing. They also require a reasonable amount of water and the soil ...
