Advantages: It's Peter Gabriel Disadvantages: None come to mind
..., in your eyes, all the fruitless searches Oh I see the light and the heat oh I want to be that complete” I love this line, wish I could find someone that made me feel that way.
This version of “So” was re-mastered by Tony Cousins who did a similar excellent renovation to whole of PeterGabriel’s solo back catalogue in 2002. The following year the whole collection was re-issued again in SACD form I can’t comment on that issue, as I have not heard any of them.
For me this is still PeterGabriel’s most complete album, with the release of this version he has put out the album as he originally wanted too because of the limits of vinyl the running had to be changed to the following: -
Vinyl
Side 1
Red rain
Sledgehammer
Don’t Give Up
That voice Again
Side 2
In your eyes
Mercy Street
Big Time...

Advantages: Almost the first two albums on one disk Disadvantages: Disjointed running order and missing tracks
...Although I currently seem to be writing about PeterGabriel a lot I wasn't going to write about this release. The reason being is that it is simply a compilation of Gabriel's first two albums meant to break him in the American market, similar to Robbie Williams "The Ego Has Landed" scenario. As I've reviewed the first two albums this would be a pointless exercise. Hope that I don't get too many complaints about it being in the wrong category and all that, but I will tell you all you need to know about the album and a bit more.

There are twenty one pieces on this album , although voices are used there are no words. There is nothing recognisable as Gabriel until the vocal refrain on the seventh track “A Different Drum”. It is effectively an instrumental album that seems marry eastern musical sounds with western classical structures.
The album opens with “The Feeling Begins” led by an Armenian Doudouk (Please tell me what one of these is he said showing his ignorance) playing an Armenian melody called “The Wind Subsides...
