Heavily influenced by both Gospel and Country music from Memphis Tennessee, where he moved to with his parents during his childhood, Elvis burst onto the music scene in 1954, and by 1956 and achieved mega stardom. Elvis Presley was the biggest thing, in musical terms to come out of America during the 1950’s. With his curling lip, and swivelling hips, Elvis belted out his Rock and Roll Hits, to the delight of a vast majority of young people around the world. Advantages: Two bona fide Elvis classics
Disadvantages: A patchy album overall

...By the mid 1970's The King had matured into a stellar MOR performer and recorded some of his greatest songs, though consistency was still a problem and this album is no different from a few others he made at the time, having some overall excellent vocal work (by 1973 in my opinion he was sounding as good as he was in 1956) let down more than once by some weaker filler material on his LP's, a situation not helped by the two-album-a-year deal he was in at the time. Any artist, whoever they are, would struggle to produce two geniunely listenable albums in a 12 month span. So it was to Stax Studios in Memphis that the Elvis entourage headed in December 1973; the original plan was to record with some of the house musicians there but sadly things didn't work out and the Presley live band were drafted in to back him up. Advantages: best compilation? outstanding quality

...These 2 CD contains most best and famouse songs of Elvis. You can see such legends as Tutti Frutti, Love me tender, Fever, Don’t be cruel and others. Each track is fantastic. Mega quality. After lessoning of CD’s it would be desirable to exclaim: “The rock-n-roll is alive, we love the king.” Though this CD was made in 1995 the music such as that you can hear forever. On the cover you can see the photoes of young Elvis and during the summit of eclat, list of songs and all texts. So it’s a best gift for every fan of good music.... Read review
