Fake bake has what they call a Colour Guide, it comes out the tube a very dark brown almost black colour so you can see exactly where you've missed. I had no trouble covering all over appart from a tiny patch in the centre of my back which my boyfriend has to give me a hand with. Once the tan was applied all-over I went to bed with a fairy even colour all-over. The Colour Guide can be slightly missleading as it is very dark but when I came out the shower the next moring I was left with a golden brown and gorgeous looking tan. Overall, the first time you use Fake Bake can be tricky but practice makes perfect and the more you use it the easy it gets. Review of Fake Bake Self Tanning Lotion

A fake tan disaster

Advantages: Even colour on legs and mainstream body
Disadvantages: Orange tinted, streaky on hands and feet despite exfoliation

I wouldn't want to put anyone off self tanning, however if you intend to apply self tanner, I would not recommend Fake Bake lotion. I had my 2nd high school prom, (with my first i went to a salon and got St Tropez applied) but due to a lack of spare time, I decided to buy fake bake which had been recommended by a friend and apply by myself. I do not propose to be the greatest beautician in the world but after exfoliating, moisturising and applying my tan, i went to bed to have dreams of a natural glowing tan...what i found the following morning though, was not. I woke up and jumped in the shower, after rinsing all of the residue from my body I felt quite dark but thought it was just me. When i looked in the mirror, AAAAARRRGGGHHHH!!!! I I thought it was an oompa loompa staring back complete with streaky orange hands and feet ...

Natural Looking Tan - Finally!

Advantages: Looks great, easy to use, even colour.
Disadvantages: Can be a little messy
