Advantages: 17 Great Tracks Disadvantages: None really
...slower songs like Earth Song which is much slower and edging towards the ballad line. What I like about all of these songs is that I never get bored of hearing them and they always make me want to dance, even if it is in the kitchen!
I do have to recommend this CD to all even if you are not a fan as I am sure you will enjoy more than a few of the songs and they are bound to bring back good memories of perhaps a time you were in a club and one of his songs came on! Personally I feel there is only one weak track on this CD which is Earth Song as every time I her it I am reminded of how he threw himself on the floor in the video and I just feel it was a very over the top video to a half decent song. Also the song does make me chuckle as it also reminds me of the nutter who auditioned for the X Factor and sang, well tried to sing, this song...

Advantages: The beats are brilliant, the vocals absolutely excellent. Disadvantages: The music lacks lyrical depth.
..., and whenever you're feeling a tad stressed you can't beat a good Cypress Hill session.
Closing track 'Break 'Em off Some' leaves you well and truly wanting for more, it's a terrific track and a fine way for the group to end the album here. It's a busy track, very raw, and always full of fun to listen to. The beat is brilliant, the vocals excellent as ever, and it just brings the 'BlackSunday' album to an absolutely excellent end. It's a thoroughly enjoyable piece of music and marks the end of what has been a brilliant album; a perfect closing anthem.
If you like your hip-hop then the chances are that you'll love this album; it's a great fourteen track release of hip-hop, and with beats as excellent as these it's really very hard to find fault with it. Obviously the lyrics could perhaps offer a little more, that's not the Cypress Hill...

Advantages: All the hits, lots of variety Disadvantages: Some weak tracks
...that Swizzy was on production, because his style of producing is usually instanly recognizable, but this one isn't anything like what he's doing now (probably because he's more focussed on club hits today).
As you never here "Blackout" in the track, I believe that they gave this as the title as referrence to the New York Blackout of 1977, which relates to themselves (all black) destroying the city that they came from. It's quite clever, and by having some of the best talent which NYC can supply us with, it certainly lives up to the name, but I wouldn't say any of them were on top form, especially Jigga Man,(who sounded like he was having an off day).
**Three Stars**
