Advantages: A brilliant, thought-provoking read Disadvantages: Hard to put down!
This is another fantastic book by Lisa Jewell. I have read some of her other work - such as Vince and Joy, 31 Dream Street, and Thirtynothing.
This book begins with a prologue, which sees the main character, Melody, at the age of nine, outside her house which is burning down. Her parents are with her.
The book then moves to the present day and each chapter then goes from the present day, back to when Melody was a young girl. It goes back and fore between the two.
In the present day, Melody is 33 with a son, Edward, who is about to turn 18 (she had him at 15). She is a dinner lady at Edward's school, and she has just met Ben who asks her out on a date. She agrees to go and it changes her life forever. They go to see a hypnotist's show and when he calls her up on to the stage, she passes out, but later she finds herself ...
Advantages: Al Pacino, Classic Movie Disadvantages: None

I took a look at what the director Sidney Lumet has done, both before and since Dog Day, and I must say that I have not heard of many of the movies that he has done, and Dog Day is the only movie he has directed that I have seen.
Al Pacino who plays Sonny Wortzik needs no introduction, a brilliant actor who has ...
