Advantages: This guy practises what he preaches. Disadvantages: not known enough.
...that he released a serie of singles on Burrell's Xterminator label. Some of the best know releases are "Judgement morning", "Life's road", "Blaspheme", "we Uh Fear" and "I'm not sure". His first LP "Burning Up" was released late 1995, and he toured with Luciano and Mikey General.
His second LP, released in 1997, and considered as one of the top "conscious" dancehall albums, "Praise Ye Jah", was shortly followed by another the same year entitled "Blackwoman and Child". The title track was a smash hit, almost considered as a cultural reggae anthem. Some of his other 1997 hits are "Like Mountain", "Babylon Cowboy", "Kings of the Earth" and his duet with Luciano "Build a better World".
He is awarded, in 1998 at the MOBO awards, "the best reggae international artist" award.

Advantages: Original, raw, tough lyrics, chanted over fast beats and rhythms. Disadvantages: Might not appeal to those of older generations, or anyone against dancehall.
...everyone to like the style of this album. Sizzla has a very original voice and produces some lyrically amazing tracks but to recognize the pure quality and effort put into this album the listener should be a die-hard Sizzla fan and enjoy those harsh, unforgiving vocals produced only by Sizzla Kalonji from August Town, Jamaica. He once again produces an album that should be on all of his fans shelves.
Other tracks such as ‘Escape From Prison’ and ‘It This’ are great to listen to loud, and it would be hard to decide on any weak tracks in this album, the production quality is top notch throughout. It cannot be compared to other Sizzla albums, as it is just so different from earlier albums like ‘Burning Up’ or ‘BlackWoman And Child’, both of which are masterpieces of their own. Advantages: I FANCY great tracks like DANGEROUSLY IN LOVE that give me a HAPPY FACE. Disadvantages: Loads of filler tracks. Beyonce is a NASTY GIRL when she is a producer.
