Advantages: A great way to fall into a story that you will keep on loving, after the credits.. Disadvantages: The sequel can't come fast enough!
Hands up who here has never heard of Twilight? I would be surprised if anyone hadn?t heard of the film, some perhaps haven?t heard that it came from a novel, but still if you haven?t heard of it I would be incredibly shocked! It isn?t something that is in obscurity anymore, however when I originally read the books they were not perhaps the best known novels out there.. So when, as a Twilight fan I heard that Catherine Hardwicke wanted to get her hands on the book and turn it into a film, I was slightly sceptical about the outcome. Like most I was dubious because books turned into films sometimes, actually more often than not fall incredibly short of the mark in quality - especially if the actors for the characters are cast wrong..

Advantages: The most gripping books I have read in a long time Disadvantages: N/A
films, from going to the cinema, bargain DVD buys etc, I have probably watched and read more this year, than in the past 10. Film-wise, you?d be hard-pressed to find a recent release that I haven?t watched. And it was in keeping with this, that the film ?Twilight? caught my attention. I wasn?t disappointed, in fact, I was rather taken with the film, finding the story line rather great, and from that, am eager to watch the sequel released in November this year. I was so taken in fact, that I decided that I wanted to read the original books, and branched out with a quick visit to Amazon and ordered the first 3 in the series for a total of about £11.
This review isn?t just based upon the book ?Twilight?, since I ...

Roll up, roll up, food for free!
That statement has a certain ring attached to it doesn't it?
I know that Richard Mabey has written a very much talked about book on the subject of what nature can offer us in terms of nourishment. Sadly as yet I haven't read it, in fact I have just been very tempted to order a used copy from Amazon at just a little over £6.
I have to admit to being a fan of Ray Mears and although I hold my hands up to only being a fan I love to watch Ray pounding his berries and making weird and wonderful concoctions using gatherings from the hedgerows.
Blackberry picking just has to take most of us back to our childhood and sunny afternoons when we were sent off with a tattered brown paper bag to gather some blackberries to make either jam, jelly or an apple and blackberry pie.
Off we went to scour the perimeter ...
