Machine head have been well known for being a band that has never strayed from its roots. They have always played the same heavy metal music with pummelling guitars and drums and not really too much else beside it. However this album goes beyond that – gone are the songs of just mindless simple heavy riffs and in have come some truly amazing ones. Through out the years Machine Head have continued to produce music that re-defines the metal genre.
The release of the album Supercharger in 2001, which is Machine Head's biggest failure was, for me, the end of an era. Burning Red and Burn My Eyes were the sound that became recognizable as the Machine Head sound, it was completely unique.
And I'm thrilled to say that that sound is back.... with a vengeance!!
This album is the best released, so ... ...harmonics and harmonies came through strongly in Through The Ashes Of Empires and it continues in this album.
If you're looking for an album that will have your fisting clenched and punching the air, this is it.
If you're looking for an album which will amaze the young guitarists, this is it.
If you're looking for an album which will inspire generations to come, then look no further....THIS IS IT!! ...
