Advantages: Fantastic bassline. Original sounds. Good chioce of tracks. Disadvantages: It's music designed for sound systems. Sound quality suffers.
...and nice neighbours). There are only really a handful of dub reggae artists from the 70’s, but between them they have produced a lot of material. The 21 tracks here, recorded at Randy’s, Black Ark, Harry J’s, Channel One and King Tubby’s studios are simply a taster of the total.
Sadly Augustus Pablo (Horace Swaby) died in 1999 at only 46 from the nerve disorder ‘Myasthenia Gravis’ but left a whole discography behind for us to enjoy.
The album features a whole host of bass players and drummers. On lead guitar is Earl ‘Chinna’ Smith and on rhythm guitar are Fazal Predergrass, TommyMcCook, Marquis, Bobby Ellis and Vincent Gordon. The saxophone is played by Richard ‘Dirty Harry’ Hall and Everton DaSilva is on percussions. For a good comparison check out King Tubby, Lee Perry or Scientist. The first two of which have also contributed...

Advantages: One of the greatest modern day metal albums Disadvantages: None!
...Blaze Bayley was lead singer of a metal band called Wolfsbane. They were an average metal band but Blaze had a passion and a deep singing style which impressed lots of people including Steve Harris, bassist in Iron Maiden.
When Bruce Dickinson decided to go solo, Blaze was offered the role of front man of possibly the greatest metal band ever. If your an Iron Maiden fan chances are you'll hate Blaze, he did murder a good few Maiden tracks live. However on his material (X-Factor and Virtual XI) he rocked. When Bruce re-joined Maiden in 1999 Blaze left and set about creating a new band, this band is BLAZE.
BLAZE's first album, Silicon Messiah was released in 2000 along with Iron Maiden's Brave New World and Halford's Ressurection. Silicon Messiah was unfairly dismissed as crap before half the people even heard it. Those that did hear...

Advantages: Rare album with all tracks as good as each other Disadvantages: Different to traditional Bon Jovi albums
...In 1990, Jon Bon Jovi branched out from the other members of Bon Jovi to make a solo album. This is the result: an album which is officially linked to the feature film 'Young Guns II: Blaze of Glory', and which features vocal and musical talents of such stars as Elton John, Little Richard and Randy Jackson.
I came across this album when I first watched Young Guns II, sometime in the mid 1990s. I loved it immediately. The sad thing is that only one track made it big: Blaze of Glory, the title track and theme tune for the film. It features on Bon Jovi's best of album, titled 'Crossroads', but I feel there are others tracks on this CD that are better.
There are 11 tracks in all:
1. Billy Get Your Guns
2. Miracle
3. Blaze of Glory
4. Blood Money
5. Santa Fe
6. Justice in the Barrel
7. Never Say Die
8. You Really Got Me Now...
