In 1989, Nirvana were mentioned in the same breath as Mudhoney, Tad and The Melvins--just ... more
another band doing the rounds on the Seattle underground. Bleach doesn't adequately explain why, so many years on, Nirvana remains a household name when so many of their contemporaries have been forgotten, but it offers the first essential clues. "About A Girl", for instance, which was later memorably revived for their MTV Unplugged In New York album, is one of Nirvana's finest moments--a Beatles-esque light touch between the caustic likes of "Floyd The Barber" and "School". It was when Nirvana toned down the fuzz-metallic tendencies so characteristic of the Sub Pop label that Cobain's gift for melody shone through- -notably, the cover of Shocking Blue's "Love Buzz". Of course, Cobain quickly realised this, and much better was to come with 1991's classic Nevermind. --Louis Pattison

Advantages: Possibly their best work, Bonus tracks, long interview Disadvantages: None
20thAnniversary album, First released in 1985.
The album which many a Magnum fan would say this is the one, the opus if you will, and with very good reason. This is Magnums fifth studio album and very different in style to other rock bands of the same era. Though the album has a solid rock sound it isn't overly polished like many of their contemporaries albums. An excellent album from start to finish. Strong music and lyrics from Tony delivered masterfully as always by Bob. This album was originally released on a small independent label called FM after they left their previous label Jet. This album was produced by Kit Woolven and recorded in UB40's studio in Birmingham (UK). The album was so good it was the springboard to their signing with major label Polydor in the latter part of the eighties. Anyway back to the music....

**Introduction**
The original Trivial Pursuit was created by two friends in Montreal in 1979. They were arguing over who was the best board game player and to try and settle this they devised there own. They hooked up with two others and almost sold there underwear to get the money to finance it. They even sold shares to friends and family. They sold 1100 in Canada before taking it to america were they did even worse. Eventually in 1982 it was an overnight success! In 1984 alone it sold over 20 million games. It is now available in 28 countries in 18 different languages.
Throughout the history of the game they have tried various different variations. There is the original Genus edition, Kids editions, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, 80's, 90's and even a Post War Baby Boom edition. I think they are on the 6th Genus now ...

of the greatest singers and musicians in the world, but I was proved wrong with this album.
I brought the 10thAnniversary special with extra tracks of this album, which now I wish I never did as the extra tracks were just god damn awful, but the rest of the album was a mixed bag to say the least.
I have been a fan of the Foo Fighters for as long as I can remember, it was Nirvana (Dave Grohl's first band) that I first fell in love with and when I hear Foo Fighters I just fell in love as well, it wasn't until around about 2002 that I first heard about the Foo's, it was Dave's portrayal of the Devil in the Tenacious D video Tribute that got me and my mates talking and voila, I found Foo Fighters.
For me this album has some brilliant tracks, a lot of my favourite tracks on the album like My Hero and Everlong and even Monkey Wrench I had heard ...
Twenty years after its initial release Nirvana's debut album 'Bleach' gets the remastered treatment. Original producer Jack Endino returned to the studio with the original analogue tapes to oversee the remastering process, while in addition cleaning up a previously unreleased live show from 1990 which is also featured. The album's mix of sludgy, down-tuned punk influenced metal and Cobain's classic songwriting at first sold only 40,000 copies and it wasn't until their second album 'Nevermind'- which kick started a whole new genre and propelled the band into the mainstream - that 'Bleach' became a hit.
