I wasn’t a big Belinda Carlisle fan but this wasn’t a bad tune. Fairly typical of the eighties, with its upbeat poppy type style. 3.: Walking On Sunshine - Katrina & The Waves Before enjoying Eurovision success, if there is such a thing, with Love Shine a Light, Katrina enjoyed mainstream success most notably with this pop ditty. It was good at the time but has undoubtedly aged in the ensuing period (both the track and the artist). Advantages: Lots of great songs from the eighties

...I was in my local record store the other week browsing for ideas for mothers day for my wife from our two small children when my attention was caught by this particular offering. As most of you will be aware from my previous reviews, one of my great passions is eighties music and I couldn't resist buying this. Not for my wife I might add but for myself. So what was it that caught my attention? Well to be honest the graphics on the CD hardly grab your attention. Basically it consists of a dark blue cover with light blue lettering declaring that it is a Top of The Pops Album, with this letting enclosed to make it appear like a circle. The BBC logo is also detailed but this is hardly prominent either. In red lettering at the bottom of the circle the album stipulates the 80s, and provides details of a selection of artists... Advantages: Good Classic Hip-Hop Songs

...doesn't have a certain theme or meaning to it, it is just basically a freestyle song about nothing in particular. I think most of you would know this song. "I got 5 on it". Top song. ●Ice Cube - It Was A Good Day● We all know Ice Cube don't we? This is basically looking back on old times in Cube's life. It has a simple beat with nothing much to it. ●City High - Caramel● This is more of an R'n'B song. It is a simple tune, and when the chorus comes in, there's hardly a tune there. A nice chill out song. Claudette sings most of the song, which is basically just about hooking up with a guy. This is classed as City Highs most famous song, but many of you may not know this song.
