I was impressed Randys Rhodes, guitar technique, iny my opinium, each song is brilliantly composed. Songs like crazy train (the Osbournes TV Theme), and suicide solution, are just simply timeless classics.
My least favourate song on the album is Revalatin mother earth, this ... ...numder to listen.
However the only dowside is the artwork, this looks dated, but the music more than makes up for this. The album was relased in 1981 and has more than stood the tests of time.
My overall opimum on the album....
This album is a MUST, and go buy it NOW!!!!!

My least favourate song on the album is Revalatin mother earth, this is not realy a metal song, but still a nice numder to listen.

Advantages: brilliant solo album Disadvantages: cover tends to be very basic
This is a truly stunning album. Getting on now as it was released in 1981 and was Ozzys first solo album. The guitar work by Randy Rhoades is very special it is a great shame he died so young. The tracks contain some absolute Ozzy classics including Crazy Train and Suicide Solution. Some of the special effects on the album which were state of the art now come across as very amatuer but that is the joy of modern technolgy catching up with things. For ... ...old man with lots of dogs you should listen to this and hear what he is really all about, this is the archetypal Ozzy album and one he has never bettered since. Put this cd in your player turn the volume right up high and just enjoy a classic rock album with one of rocks greatest superstars at the height of his career. ...

Ciao members have rated this review on average: helpful Review of Blizzard Of Oz [Remastered] - Ozzy Osbourne
This is Ozzy Osbournes first solo album and it showed that there was life after Sabbath. Ozzy in no way tries to emulate the Sabbath sound and I think this works in his favour giving the album a fresh crisp sound.
I Don't Know is rock standard of a song. Crazy train is a speed metal classic and the beat sounds like a train moving along a track. Goodbye To Romance is a song Ozzy wrote about leaving Black Sabbtah behind a beautiful ballad, this and ... ...is a beautiful instumental piece. Suicide Solution is one of Ozzies most famous songs after a teenager took his life in America and Ozzy was cited by the supreme court as being responsible because of the lyrics of this song. My Crowley is a spooky number a great keyboard riff throughout. No bone movies is fun. Revelation monther earth is a great rock song. Steal away the night one of Ozies best ballads.
A brilliant first album. ...

Advantages: Quite different and much better than the previous few Black Sabbath albums with Ozzy Disadvantages: None
Blizzard of Ozz was OzzyOsbourne's first album following his split from Black Sabbath. Following being sacked from Black Sabbath, Ozzy was in a mess, living in a hotel and trying to drink and snort himself in to oblivion - Sharon Osbourne who would eventually become his wife, decided to get him back on track and from the brink of destruction, the depressive Ozzy got his stuff together and recorded this rather enjoyable album.
A great helping hand came from Randy Rhoads who added an awesome speed to the guitar playing of the band. The only thing that this album really has in common with his earlier work of Black Sabbath is Ozzy's voice, although it does tend to stay in the top rangeof his voice for much of it. The themes are quite different with a lot less of a satanic outlook and a more moody sound, the music is gentle and melodic ...
Blizzard of Ozz was OzzyOsbourne's (former singer from Black Sabbath) first solo album, This album features as well as Ozzy the now legendary guitar of the late Randy Rhoads. This album was recorded in 1980 (two years prior to Randys death) and is one of only two albums featuring Randy as ozzy's guitarist, The singles from this album were Crazy Train and Mr. Crowley, of which Crazy Train reached no.9.
Randy
This albums guitarist Randy Rhoads, helped Ozzy gain popularity and launch his solo career, Randys guitar work is instantly recogniseable by the beautiful melodys, brilliant riff writing and clever solo's based on rock and roll favourite!! the pentatonic scale!!, Randy uses alot of pedal tones in his playing, and plays both Lead and Rhythm guitar with extreme skill, he never seems to stop playing!
Randys brilliant blend ...

After the quiet implosion of Black Sabbath, the wise money was not on former vocalist, Ozzy, being the one to redeem himself musically. However, with shrewd management by his wife and a hotshot Californian in the shape of ex-Quiet Riot guitarist, Randy Rhoads, he reinvented himself and his musical persona, and created a startling debut album. Combining Rhoads' impetuous flurries of heavily stylized guitar, his own series of lyrical caricatures--"Crazy Train" and "Revelation (Mother Earth)"--and a healthy dose of controversy, citing renowned satanist Aleister Crowley as the subject matter for "Mr. Crowley," he ensured himself acclaim and commerciality in equal measure.
