I am a total sucker for trying everything on the market to try and keep my locks in tip top condition. After getting a rollocking from the other half about the amount i was spending at hairdressers, just on products, i thought i would try and behave for once. So off i trotted doen to trusty boots trying to find alternative, cheaper haircare products. I have used John Freida products before, and with all the lovely sdvertising they do (Sponsers of programmes like Britains/Americas next top model) I thought i would give this Glosser and detangler a shot. I wasn't disappointed, and was actually left feeling quite happy that i hadn't forked out twice the amount for a similar product from the hairdressers, that works just as well. I picked john Frieda sheer blonde spotlight glosser in Boots for £5.29 for 75ml. Okay so don't gulp at that price ...
Advantages: Does everything it promises! Disadvantages: Price.
My best friend and i have been struggling for years to maintain our naturally blonde hair (ok, so strictly it hasnt been NATURALLY blonde since infancy, but neither of us are prepared to admit this!) and most shampoos are a complete waste of time AND money. As a student i can't afford to get my hair highlighted very often and the last time i attempted to bleach streaks in myself it broke off in clumps!! Gentle dyes, permenant or otherwise fade so quickly its impossible to tell what colour your hair is, or was meant to be after only three washes.
So imagine my delight at discovering this fantastic product. It promises alot on the bottle like making hair "glisten" without weighing it down and "tranforming dry, parched blonde into supple, smooth and shimmering silk". You're thinking "yeah right, and let me guess Brad Pitt will massage it ...
Advantages: Easy to use, vibrant colours, cheap Disadvantages: Very messy
WHAT DID I DO?
I dyed my hair bright red.
WHEN?
Today. Just now, in fact.
WHY?
Well, I fancied a change. I have been blonde for the last two or three years and I was getting bored. On a heavier note, since being diagnosed as suffering from depression, I have been trying to work out what makes me happy. This was why I ‘came out’ as being bisexual on Ciao and Dooyoo, why I wrote my ‘hardest opinion’ piece and why I wanted to dye my hair.
SO WHAT DID YOU DYE IT WITH THEN?
I used Schwarzkopf Live ‘unlimited colors’ range (Bloody American spelling!) and the shade I chose was R37 – Hypnotic Red – permanent. I asked Blurbubble for advice yesterday as I didn’t want my hair to go green or something and I wasn’t sure if it was possible to dye bleached blonde hair ...

Album Notes
Though known primarily as a film actress, Betty Hutton's vivacious blondeness translated well into the recording medium, too. This two-disc compilation is a delightful convergence of clever songwriting, happy tunes, and Hutton's charming--if not technically brilliant--vocal style. From the jaunty "Doctor, Lawyer, Indian Chief" to the brassy "Murder, He Says" to the romantic "It Had to Be You" to the just plain goofy "Arthur Murray Taught Me Dancing in a Hurry," Hutton makes the most out of a limited vocal range, and conveys a dizzy, fizzy sense of fun.
