Advantages: May be the best contemporary white female blues singer and acoustic guitarist you'll ever hear. Disadvantages: None
...a way to express this to him other than playing the old songs for him. I was 15 at the time.”

A CHIP OFF THE OLD BLOCK:
Alan Block’s sandal shop in the shadows of Washington Square Park near the crossroads of hip, Bleeker and McDougal Streets, was a meeting place for Village types, especially musicians.
The likes of Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Stefan Grossman and John Sebastian would hang out at Block’s and pick and sing with House, the Reverend Gary Davis, Mississippi John Hurt and Bukka White, to name just a few of the blues men who came through the shop. Advantages: Bonus CD Disadvantages: Can't find any...
...I actually won the special edition of IN BLUE and if like me you like the original acoustic sound you'll definatly like the extra bonus CD you get with this version of the smash album.
The bonus CD adds another 8 tracks, 4 acoustics, 3 live recordings taken from their tour and 1 previously unreleased track called looking into the eyes of love which a sort of mellowed out track which is great to listen 2 in the evenings.
My fave is Smebody for Someone which is great because on the CD is the original version and the acoustic sound.
A definatly good buy....

Advantages: amazingly tight and powerful performance and a historical one. Disadvantages: it's not the dvd so you can't see what's happening.
...The sound in this is awesome the whole thing is mind blowing no matter how many times you listen to it. There is an amazing medley of the wild eyed boy from freecloud which goes into all the young dudes which goes into oh you pretty things, flawless, amazing. Then there is Moonage Daydream, this performance of moonage daydream is amazing and possibly contains the greatest guitar solo of all time. However this is where you should have the dvd because you see david go off stage to change costume and chat with ringo star. My death is a great quieter side to this performance. Then there is Time which was described by NME at the time as bowies most egotistical, pretentious song yet. But that is what makes it so great, it is not bowie's ego, he is playing the character of Ziggy Stardust. You should also get the DVD for this because...
