Advantages: A rich tapestry of eccentricity and good, but obscure music Disadvantages: A couple of weak tracks
...it. It gets you like that. But that ain't all for the sex and I'll tell you about it at the end...
So, basically, that;'s it. I love this budget sampler. True, like all 'variousartists' compilations it just has a couple of weak points, but overall it is a very appealing blend of the undeservingly obscure and the eccentric. It has fullfilled it's objective in that yes, I DO want to hear some more of some of the music on here, especially the Basil Kirchin material.
Go out and buy it when you can, for around £4.99 it's a bargain. If you are a fan of the off-the-wall and the eccentric you'll revel in most of the stuff on this CD, there's nothing else quite like it, trust me...
Oh, almost forgot. Remember I said we hadn't finshed with the sex? There is a 'hidden' track right at the end, after a silent gap. It's only a few seconds...

Advantages: Brilliant electronic music Disadvantages: quite strange
...Rephlexions (variousartists) is the next installment of compilation albums on the Rephlex record label. It features another set of tracks by the key players on the label and is equally as good as the first compilation (Braindance (variousartists)) The sounds are spaced out emotional and very original explorations of electronia. The CD kicks off with some mellow keys on which glitchy drum and bass future breaks are laid on top. The second tracks goes straight into a gentle industrial clanking atmosphere where a glimmering machine sits in a castle basement, blue light floods through the window in the middle of the night, the machine gets more energy as the track progresses. All the tracks seem to have concepts behind them waiting to be discovered. I especially like track 14 'It aint perfect till its perfect' by LIKE-A-TIM, which sounds...

Advantages: Great songs from the movie Disadvantages: Misses out some songs
...I first saw the film of Blues Brothers with my dad who told me that it was worthy of watching... I was very impressed by the film, but more so by the music that stayed in my mind for a long time afterwards, and which persuaded me to buy the soundtrack.
Here, many artists like Ray Charles, Aretha Franklyn and James Brown have come together to produce a soundtrack that is featured in this memorable film.
The Tracks
--------------
Going through the listening experience, I am taken back to moments of the film, and whilst most songs are by the two main players in the film, the snippets of the more famous artists enhance the album and make it a complete listening experience.
1. SHE CAUGHT THE KATY-
This song is the first song in the film. It is a Great track giving a great introduction to the film, and one that sets the tone...
