Advantages: Next book in the series see how the tale unfolds Disadvantages: if you didn't like the earlies books you wont like this one
I really enjoyed this story in the series, i feel with each book this one is better than the one before, the author has a knack of rambling on and going off on a tangent, which seems to suit the thoughts of the character and then still managing to tie it back in to the story. It has the odd major crime or case but most of the people Precious Ramotswe helps are ordinary people with everyday problems but the lack of constant thrill and drama does not affect the desire to get to the next chapter to find out how events turn out. This book has a mystery at a game reserve, an interesting look at buying new shoes and a blackmailed cook. Aswell as this we get a glimpse into how it would be to live in another part of the world, with all the poverty and concern about rain dominating the life of the area this does not rob them of happiness ...
Advantages: Charming, amusing, unique Disadvantages: You'll either love it or hate it

As usual, Alexander McCall Smith combines intriguing cases with valuable moral lessons and a lot of charming humour. The most mysterious case that Mma Ramotswe faces is the bad atmosphere at the Mokolodi Game Reserve, which Mr Polopetsi takes upon himself to solve, whilst the most disturbing case concerns ...
Advantages: all the best Suede songs on one disc Disadvantages: The new tracks let this one down
Suede have been around for donkey?s years or so it feels like they have. . In fact they first released their first single in 1992 which I suppose is donkeys years compared to some lesser bands. Suede were one of the bands along with Blur, Elastica and maybe Pulp who kicked off the Britpop phenomena of the mid 1990s. They are one of those bands who I really like but are not quite one of my favourites of all time. I do own a few of their CDs and was lucky enough to see them headline the Reading Festival in 1997. When they released their greatest hits collection simply entitled the Singles just before Christmas. I decided it would be a good addition to my CD collection. I do have their last two albums Head Music and A New Morning but I do not have the others. My cassette of their self titled debut album Suede snapped and my copies of Dog ...
