To be honest I expected a CD that proclaims to contain 'The Songs of Cardiff City' to be a lot better than this.

For some reason it contains 'Cardiff Born' by Frank Hennessey now how on earth this could be portrayed as a Cardiff City song is beyond me, I've been watching City for over 20 years and I've never heard that sang down there.

I meant where is 'Hey Jude' by The Beatles, maybe they couldn't afford the royalties!! Ok so it's got 'Men of Harlech' twice but apart from that there are no other songs that I would readily associate with the Bluebirds. Let's be honest city are about the only team in the entire league not to play that infuriating 'Tom Hark' by the Piranhas but for some reason it's included on here, Why??

To be honest it looks like they ran out of ideas halfway through production and decided to lob anything on there, what other reason could you have for including commentry of famous goals over the past few years. OK 1 or 2 commentries of memorable goals I can understand but 7 for heaven's sake (hey that rhymes).

The full playlist reads:

Mean of Harlech - Blaenavon MVC
Do the Ayatlooah - Simon Bayliss (??)
Cardiff born - Frank Hennessey
Cardiff City Sound - Bluebeats (?)
Tiger in the Taff - Aka & Lord Melody
Cardiff (they don't know) - Simon Bayliss (again!!)
Land of My Fathers - The Welsh Guards
Cardiff City Superstars - Super Love
Tom Hark - The Piranhas
Grangetown Whale -Hennesseys
70's football star - Barker
VC Roll & Men of Harlech - John Barry & Richard Burton
Mae Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau - Crowd
Graham Kavanagh's goal v Leeds (commentry)
Scott Young's goal v Leeds (commentry)
Peter Thorne goal v Chesterfield (commentry)
Robert Earnshaw goal v Mansfield (commentry)
Robert Earnshaw goal v Blackpool (commentry)
Peter Thorne goal v Bristol City Play-off Semi-final (commentry)
Andy Campbell goal v QPR Play-off Final (commentry)

Somehow I don't think there'll be a compilation album coming out soon called 'Now that's what I call Cardiff City' if this is abything to go by.

So would I recommend it?

Only to someone living in Australia who wants to try to recreate the atmosphere of a Welsh rugby international coz it damn sure don't reflect the Cardiff City I know.
