Advantages: The fundamentals - Classic Big Band Style Jazz Disadvantages: Sound quality was poor
DukeEllington composed many interesting traditional jazz music suited at that time for big band style. Amongst the popular music he wrote were Mood Indigo, It Don't Mean A Thing, Caravan, Chelsea Bridge and many more. His compositions in my opinion were very radical compared to those of the traditional era which cause some people to dislike it. It applies more tension chords as ever, bringing in modern jazz concepts and adapting them in a traditional context.
He is however one of the legends in the field of jazz and although many do not know him, they have heard of him. Many of his songs are taken today and played in small group bands, trios and quartets and improvised to meet modern expectations.
I personally enjoyed the tracks because I am a jazz fanatic. What I didn't enjoy was the poor recording quality which is probably ...

I've been a fan of 'Orbital' for many years now, but I must say that 'In Sides' probably one of my favourite 'Orbital' albums.
Released way back in 1997 'In sides' features the theme tune from the film 'The Saint' as with 'Doctor?' on 'The Altogether' album the Hartnoll's have done a superb cover version.
Amidst the fantastic artwork on the CD booklet we find that the first track was written utilising CYRUS - The Greenpeace mobile solar generator, just another case of the boys using almost anything to produce damn fine music.
So onto the album itself, consisting of nine tracks 'In Sides' is a far cry from the 'Snivilisation' album from 1994.

Advantages: Harmless slapstick fun for all the family Disadvantages: a little outdated and sometimes repetative
The other day I was rummaging though some old boxes in the garage and I came across several video cassettes, one of which contained a movie I had not seen for over twenty years. Back then, in the turn of the eighties, I was a big fan of the very funny Tommy Cannon and Bobby Ball, loving their tv shows in the late seventies through the eighties, enjoying the way the pair bounced off each other with the brilliant style of humour and fantastic banter.
After mentally reminiscing about the past, recalling the brief parts of this movie I could remember, I decided to watch the entire movie again, sitting back, waiting for the comedy to start.
The movie in question being ?the Boys inBlue ...
