Advantages: Songs for every event and mood. Disadvantages: All your other CDs will stay on the shelf for quite a while.
...Unfortunately, the publicity given to his name changes seems to have somewhat overshadowed the music. Many dismiss him as the lubricious elf that changed his name to 'squiggle' but the songs, including 'Nothing compares 2u' (a previously unreleased live version featuring Rosie Gaines), '1999', 'Diamonds and Pearls' and 'When Doves Cry' are easy to love. Lasting just over an hour and a quarter in total, 11 or 12 of the 18 tracks are well known and the remaining six are just as timeless. ...One of the most innovative soundtrack album series ever created launches with Music From The O.C. Mix 1. Featuring hip, recent, largely indie rock tracks heard on the FOX runaway hit sensation The O.C., the album is the first of several (at least one each 2004 quarter) designed to appeal to the 9 million to 11 million mainly teen and young adult fans who watch the drama each week in the USA alone.

Advantages: Great insight into other artists Disadvantages: A few dodgy tracks
...Superb album, a few dodgy tracks but easy to skip past these. Even if you only like a quarter of the artists there will be some that you'll be really surprised with.
I'm not a big fan of Mika but i've got to give him credit for this version, if you're not a big fan of him this is defo worth a listen.
Klaxons are amazing on this album.
Don't like the Fray or Jack Peanut, but that's just a personal choice.
I'm really glad that Radio 1 have decided to release their live lounge sessions, it's taken a while for them to realise that this is a great money spinner. Can't wait for the next one to come out.
I'd say this is a must buy if the price is right!...
