...Cold Feet was a wonderful series for any thirt-something bored with their marriage, job, friends or just life. The soundtrack was released soon after the start of the series and shows the wide range of music that fitted the varying themes in the show. Later acts include Fatboy Slim, Space, Republica and Pulp. Then there are the eighties artists like Frankie goes to Hollywood, the Communards and Haircut 100. Towards the end of the album are artists with classic songs from the sixties and seventies. Chuck Berry, Dolly Parton, Bobby McFerrin and Chet Baker all have songs included in a wonderful soundtrack that makes some of us feel that little bit younger.... Read review

Leaves me cold
Review of Cold Feet - Original TV Soundtrack by nicanddarrell

Advantages: Some good tracks
Disadvantages: Too many fillers not featured in series

..., Be Happy” by Bobby McFerrin one of the most annoying songs ever released, and it is closely followed by “You Don’t Love Me” by Dawn Penn. I should stay listening really because “You Never Can Tell” by Chuck Berry is a great song, but then again I have never really enjoyed the next track, “Lovin You” by Minnie Ripperton. My faith is restored again with the disco classic “Lost In Music” by Sister Sledge. Brilliant. The same cannot be said for the last two tracks though. I only ever like “It’s Raining Men” by The Weather Girls when I have had too much vodka, and I have never liked Gary Glitter, and I especially despise “I’m The Leader Of The Gang”. The second CD starts with a familiar track for all “Cold Feet” fans, and that is the Cold... Read review

Biblical Bob's Seminal Songs
Review of Exodus [Remastered] - Bob Marley & The Wailers by fuddy

Advantages: Owning A Classic of 20th Century Music, Gives You The Lyrics to Exodus on the Sleeve, Should You Be Curious, There Has Never, To My Knoweldge Been a Reported Case of Murder Whilst This Album was Playing
Disadvantages: Friends May Become Terribly Jealous Of Your New-Found Superior Musical Taste, Britney Spears Will Still Probably Outsell it Somehow, Men and Women May End Up Finding you Irresistable Once They Hear this Album

...song which comes across as almost a rock ballad. It's my least favourite on the album, but just like most of Marley's work, the worst song on the album is still well worth many a listen. Rich vocal harmonies definitely keep this song from turning into a soppy, handkerchief-sodden mess. Three Little Birds - who, may I ask, has not heard this track? The prequel of sorts to Bobby McFerrin's vapid Don't Worry Be Happy, this carefree anthem is so full of happy imagery that it only needs one verse and one chorus to repeat again and again. The ultimate summer-feel song, the ultimate feel-good song, a joy to behear (so to speak/type). One Love is another much-played classic. "Let's Get Together And Feel All Right": Has such simple understatement ever said so much? Not in my opinion. Brevity maybe wit, but it can also be beauty. Bob doesn't need... Read review
