3 Brunning - 'Pie Jesu'. John Brunning is one of Classic FM's own presenters. He composed this short piece, which is sung on the CD by All Angels. I would describe it as a sweet piece, but it doesn't really stick in my mind after I've heard it. It's pleasant enough to hear in the background though.
4 Canteloube - 'Bailero'. Canteloube took his inspiration from the traditional folk songs of the Auvergne region of France where he was born. He arranged these songs for orchestra and really made them his own. On the CD this piece is sung by the American Renee Fleming. Before I start can I just say that I have never tried to review a CD before so please cut me some slack!!!
I first heard this CD in a music lesson. We had to practice our listening skills because part of the music exam is a listening section, where you have to listen to a piece of music and write about it. Our teacher played a couple of pieces of this CD, and I instantly wanted it!
I ordered it off a website and the day after it arrived, I was so pleased that I could listen to all the tracks myself.

Advantages: Plenty of Quality Tracks for your Money. Familar famous tracks alongside superb less known tracks. Disadvantages: Not really for those with short attention spans. Mixing between songs can be lengthy.
