I'm writing a review of the Bonkers album having not listened to it for probably two years or so as I've lost it somewhere (possibly wedged between the seats of my ford escort, unfortunately sold last year!).

I was introduced to Bonkers by my cousin about 6 or 7 years ago by my 'Northerner' cousin who was down for Christmas, sporting a futuristic Personal CD Player which at the time amazed me!!

Being an impressionable teenager, I had to have a listen to this fantastic gadget and at first was horrified by the 'boom boom boom' that racketed down the earphones. Rave music to me meant rubbish banging music listened to only by drug fuelled rebels in a field with glowsticks plentifull.

So my first impression as you can imagine was not brilliant and I have to say I was worried about what my cousin was in to.

However, being at the age where you can't say you don't like something your peers are into, I persisted in listening to the album.

It didn't take long to forget about the drug fuelled field parties and get used to the fast pace of the music which actually had some great addictive tunes.

Some of the tunes were familier but obviosly alot faster paced which on the whole made it exhillerating to listen to. Upon further investigation I discovered I was listening to Bonkers 2 and apparently there were was a third out in the shops (plus obviously an original).

I managed to get hold of Bonkers 3 and it was my favorite album for a long time even though I was more in to Pop & Dance Music rather than Rave. In fact I didn't and don't like Rave however I can listen to Bonkers any day of the week (if that makes any sense?!)

I have also owned Bonkers 4 which is possibly the best of what I have heard, although Bonkers 2 should never be ignored. Unfortunately as I said before, I haven't actually got the albums to hand and can't quote any of my favourate tracks, however just thinking about it has made me want to track a copy down again!!

My advice to anyone would be to listen to either Bonkers 2 or 4. I'm pretty sure they both have 3 CD's, and each CD is mixed by a different DJ, all of which with their own style, however all have the same addictive uplifting quality.
