BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM
Review of John Lee Hooker - John Lee Hooker by  michellej

Advantages: BRILLIANT
Disadvantages: NONE

...‘Boom Boom Boom Boom’, how many people out there remember that one? John Lee Hooker is a pure blues artist, he’s been one of the greats since 1948. Yes… dating back to World War II. He comes from Mississippi, so I don’t think I have to explain any more of that… the hometown of Jazz, R&B and soul greats. His voice is deep and husky, and his toe tapping jazz tunes sure make you feel like you should be sitting on a veranda in Tennessee somewhere. (Wearing those denim overalls, with a cask of whiskey… not a glass). This is a great album for the serious Rhythm & Blues listener, even if you’re not a fan or a bit of the uneducated side when it comes to music.. have a listen… this is how music began! Tracks on the best of album include: Boom Boom Rouble Blues Crawlin... Read review

Cleansing Gothic Country from 'Dirty' Cash.
Review of Solitary Man (American III) - Johnny Cash by  mark_allen71

Advantages: Cash at full flow
Disadvantages: Leaves You With a 'Country' album in your collection (kind of)

...still finds tenderness in 'That Lucky Old Sun' - a song with which he won a talent contest as a young man. But we also get the honest end-of-life ballad of 'Nobody' - a song John Lee Hooker could have sang and kept his blues cred. JC (no coindidence he has these initials) was resurrected as a performer with a solo set in the Viper Club, where many young US celebs hang out. Indeed this was the last haunt of River Pheonix, whose brother plays Cash in the new bio-pic 'I Walk The Line', which is sure to spark retrospective interest. It's a pity he didn't really live long enough to enjoy the fruits of his newly-found cult status. Somebody once said that Johnny Cash could read the phone book and make it compelling. Another review on the net said: "At times this set sounds like a deathbed recitation rather than a collection... Read review

Boogie 2 Nite
Review of Boogie 2Nite - Booty Luv by  Jordan2493

Advantages: Great Songs
Disadvantages: Can get broing

...Introduction: Booty Luv is back with another great album "Boogie Tonight". The album was released in september 2007 , and the album went straight to the charts fitting in at number 11. The album was sold all over the United Kingdom with over 70,000 copies being sold!. On the album there is a feature that allows you to access a special website where you can register to watch a special video for the making of the Booty Luv song "Don't Mess With My Man". This album covers the genres of music such as House , Dance and R & B. The producer of the album is Seamus Haji , who also performs remixes of certain Booty Luv tracks such as the well known "Boogie Tonight". What Songs Are Featured On This Fantastic Album? Well there are many of my favourite Booty Luv songs featured on the CD and the songs include the chart breaking "Boogie Tonight... Read review
