...Palmolive Milk and Honey Liquid Handwash
Back in 1898 a gentleman called B.J. Johnson from the United States developed a formula for a new soap made out of palm and olive oil. The product, Palmolive was so popular that he named his company after it. At the turn of the century Palmolive was the world's best selling soap. In 1928 they bought the Colgate Company to become Colgate-Palmolive.
Today the soap is just as popular as it has ever been.
They produce my favourite line of liquid soaps and have quite a few different varieties to choose from such as the hypoallergenic range and the florals range but for this review I am going to concentrate on the Naturals range, in particular the Milk and Honey smell. Naturals from Palmolive is a soap-free formula. The extracts of milk and honey are designed to leave the skin feeling soft...

Advantages: Pleasant to use, softens skin Disadvantages: Scent not to everyones liking?
...This is a Milk and Honey liquid handwash made by Palmolive. I have bought it several times and really like it.
The Cost
It costs around £1.59 for a 300ml bottle although I bought it at Sainsburys on a 2 for £2.00 offer. You could choose any 2 varieties of Palmolive Liquid handwash on this offer.
The Bottle
It comes in a clear plastic bottle with large white push dispenser. The bottle is curved but quite narrow so it sits easily on a thin shelf or on the side of your sink. Inside the bottle you can see the pale yellow honey coloured pearlescent soap. On the label is a picture of honey pouring from a honey comb.
Milk and Honey
The bible first mentions, "A land flowing with milk and honey" in Exodus, where it was a sign of richness and abundance. Both the Romans and the Greeks...

Advantages: smells lovely, smooth, soft skin Disadvantages: expensive, doesn't stretch very far
...I'll give you a brief idea of some of the things it contains, and what they do for your skin.
Beeswax - What Burt's Bees product would be complete without it? Beeswax does not absorb into the skin, therefore creates a protective barrier to lock in moisture and create a shield against the elements.
Non-Fat Dry Milk - We've all heard the story that Cleopatra used to bathe in milk, but it's still being used today in beauty products as it has soothing and moisturising properties for the skin.
Honey - Honey has antibacterial properties, so is great for spots or blemishes. It too is a great moisturiser as it retains water.
The body lotion comes in a pale yellow bottle with a white screw top lid and (like the Burt's Bees hand cream I used) shows a black and white picture of a cow on the front. Like most of the Burt's Bees packaging...
