I recently received this 2 disc CD set for my birthday..which is on friday. It was given to me on good advice from a friend of me and the person i received it from. I imagine it was bought from HMV, as this is the only music store local to me. The price of the CD from HMV is £9.99, which is a bargain for the amount of tracks on the disks. 43 tracks to be precise. The majority of which contain 2 or more tracks mixed in with one another. The core tracks are mainly dance songs that will be familiar with most people. And the acappella (vocals) are mainly rap songs, but there are also some classic r'n'b anthems as well as dance anthems and recent dance tracks featured on the vocal side of the tracks. The album is mixed by the cut up boys, who recently emerged onto the dance scene. And, obviously, by their name, enjoy cutting songs ...

The New York Odyssey

Advantages: great mix
Disadvantages: none

. He was the buzz name for any artist looking for a cool remix joining the ranks of fellow American DJs such as Todd Terry, Roger Sanchez and Erick Morillo. The biggest challenge facing Armand Van Helden for this mix cd was not capturing the NY vibe but it was getting the clearance for the tracks. For DJs this can be such a pain, having to get legal permission to use an artists work on the cd, but it seems to have worked just fine as he's pulled out some of the big guns for this mix. Armand Van Helden gets his mix off to a start by taking time out at the beginning to talk to the listener, a bit unusual. But over a funky electro track he talks in his husky New York accent about what exactly the cd is about. It's only brief but it's great see what he was thinking for this mix. White Label Euphoria (by John 'OO' Fleming) 2CD

Advantages: Classic euphoria beats, alternative mixing.
Disadvantages: Hard to come by now

John 'OO' Fleming is a well-known DJ. This album is one of the early Euphoria's. I believe it is quite rare especially now. Anyway, I bought my 2CD set in 2007 for £4.50 of Amazon second-hand. I'm not sure they manufacture these any more, so getting this would be a challenge. I see there are ones for sale for crazy amounts of money! The album is smooth and relaxed with a fast pace to it most of the way through. "Legato 2002" by Digital Blonde is very good as is "Boys & Girls" by AYU. I would say this compilation is not so much chilled as others are, but very refined with more of a beat to it. I would say this is an essential album for Euphoria fans and collectors.
