The Ford KA, officially an icon for Ford. The Ka was introduced in 1996 and my girlfriend bought the 1998 KA 1 model as her first car. It was obviously a 3-door model (the only option) but it was in a weird colour, it looked like brown, grey and silver mixed into one, but it was listed in the logbook as grey.
The KA was originally designed to only have black plastic bumpers so in the event of a minor crash they could easily and cheaply be replaced. This model has the black bumpers, but having done 72000miles upon purchase they had done a feint grey colour and although the black bumper/trim polish is easy and cheap to buy from Halfords or anywhere, I would recommend (if you can afford it) to buy a colour coded one as they just look better and don?t have to be repainted even if the car doesn?t need it- as the black ones do.

Vauxhall Corsa 1.2 SXI 3 Door choice of Colours New from Vauxhall For £7495. Only problem was Vauxhall made you buy on there finance and it cost over 10k over 4 years. If you wanted it for cash they added £500 finance discount back on and were now charging for metallic paint at £250. The price was not so much of a bargain now....

We got sick of looking and thought about just extending the warranty for another year or two and just stopped looking....Until I got a leaflet with my Lloyds TSB bank statement offering special offers from Car Select. On the front cover was a Shiney Black Sporty looking Corsa SXI. They offered Corsa for just over £6300 and therefore I expected that to be for the Basic 1.0 Club Model....Wrong..
The price was for the SXI model until 17th March ...
Advantages: It's a great little city/town/country car. Its fabulously economic. Disadvantages: No power steering on this particular model.
for what I would get next, couldn't find anything that was quite what I wanted. But one evening I picked up the local paper one night and spied something that looked just right.
Pedro Mark 2. It was a 1999 1.0 purple Polo, almost identical to the one I lost. Another reliable little car hopefully, my last one had done 345,000 miles when it was finally put to rest! Remarkable! This one seemed better somehow, it was cleaner than my first one which had come to earn the nickname of the "Shedlo" because of the state of it. Rusty holes had come into contact with the inevitable Scottish rain, making them look like bleeding bullet wounds! It was a much newer one with better equipment AND it had alloys! Lovely.
Any Polo owner will know, you get in and you've fallen in love. They really are great little cars. My friends have 3 or 4 year old ...
